I use this as a way to jog my memory when it comes to different critters' strengths and review preferences, so I can try to match authors with reviewers so that reviewers are reading drafts they will be more likely to enjoy.
Some have mentioned putting this on the mainsite. I would like to do so because I think it's a neat way to acknowledge the camaraderie and the skills of Butterfly Squad, but I have some hesitations:
- The coding. It's pretty slapdash and cobbled together on my part, so if this does go mainsite-side I'd love for it to look nicer.
- Organization. I feel like there should be a more orderly display for the names. Also, maybe an inactive/resigned/retired section, in the case of our members who are MIA.
- Potential attention overload. I want to add in another section for "preferred mode of contact" or maybe even "accepts random PMs?" or "ideal times to contact" to hopefully stave off people's inboxes getting flooded by people who just spam PMs to every member of the team. Maybe have a requirement that there needs to be a link to a forum thread? That way if someone gets a PM, they can look at the forum thread, and if they see other staff have already responded, they need not jump in and can address someone else who has not received feedback yet.
Thoughts? I admit I mostly would like help with the coding.
