On the Expert Witnesses page, we've recently gotten some requests to be added to the non-profession list. It became a topic of staffchat discussion.
The qualifications to be added to that list (which is the comment here: http://www.scp-wiki.net/forum/t-469950/expert-witnesses#post-1455710 ) are… pretty vague. The list itself has not been edited since 2012.
Should we be a bit more selective for that list? Say, be a contributor (have one successful page on the wiki, whether self-written or collab)? I feel that if someone were to look for help writing about something specific, they should be receiving advice from either a professional or someone who knows their way around writing for the site.
Of course, I don't want to be barring the help that can be given from new members. It could go either way. Thoughts?
Edit: Also, there's potential for overlap with the staff roster…
