Dear Dr. Bright,
A little about me. I am a producer in Los Angeles.
Please find some of the work I have done

I have made a number of short films that have gone on festival runs. The last short film I have produced was nominated for Emerging Filmmaker Award at Cannes International Film Festival.
Both "Fat Camp", and "The Collegians" (my two last films) have been purchased for distribution. I believe SCP-087 is the perfect vehicle as a low-budget indie feature.
As you may know, an enormous problem with financing and distributing a feature film is the Creative Commons rights agreement currently on your site. With that in place, it would be impossible to have even a limited theatrical run because there would be nothing stopping someone from making a copy of the work. This, I'm sure you are familiar with. It is what I love about SCP, and would never want to change.
What my lawyer has informed me is that we would be able to make this film if a member of the administration whom you deem an executor would sign an option license SEPARATE and OUTSIDE of the existing Creative Commons agreement. This license would stand for this instance of SCP-087 only. (This feature film). Zaeyde has already agreed to the terms, but I wanted to speak to you (or another administrator) before I went any further.
I just want to reiterate, the existing CC license on your website and even for SCP-087 will be completely unaffected. I am simply looking for the chance to put some money into this project and develop a viable motion picture, with your blessing and hopefully your collaboration.
My goal is not simply to make a movie out of this particular SCP, but to collaborate with you, as a foundation, to test the waters of public appeal.
I know Dr. Gears in some forums has expressed that it would be extremely difficult to move forward with a for-profit movie because of all the contributors to the site, and the difficulty involved in profit sharing. I believe I have a solution to this problem.
I have much more to say, but as not to overload you, I hope to speak to you further later.
My preference would be telephone. I understand that you are interested in keeping your identity private. I have a Non-Disclosure Agreement I would be willing to sign that would forbid me from revealing your identity under penalty of lawsuit. Would this be a possibility?
I only ask because if we proceed from here, it will be a long and potentially expensive (lawyer fees) process for me. I wish to work together with you to expand the reach of the SCP.
I have a one-of-a-kind idea for the film that I believe you would be very interested to hear. I've asked Zaeyde not to disclose any structural elements to the film, but I would love to give you the chance to get as excited as I am about the possibility of collaboration.
If you are to post any of this information, I ask that you make it only in private, or in locked forums for administrators and please leave my telephone number [redacted] for now. Feel free to pass along my email address.
I hope to speak to you further about this.
I responded: We're not interested in waiving the CC in any way, shape or form.
