Deletions?

So… we're starting to see a return to the trend of 10+ articles hitting -10 or below getting posted every day to the mainsite. That's a lot of deletions.

So far, it looks like Conwell and I have been handling the majority of it. Given that we should have plenty of mods and admins around to handle doing deletions maybe once a week (and Conwell's in med school and I'm usually bogged down in forum crit), can we maybe have a signup sheet or the like or just two mods/admins assigned to each day so that the workload is better split? I'm happy to still help out with handling a day or two myself.

That sounds fair. If there ends up being a sign up sheet or assigned days, sign me down for any non-weekend days. In any case I'll start helping out more.

I was thinking something relatively simple that wouldn't require too much adjustment. Just a list of days, with there being a primary cleanup person and a backup? So something like:

Mon: primary - person 1 / backup person - 2
Tues: primary - person 3 / backup person - 4
Weds: etc.
Thurs: etc.
Fri: etc.
Sat: etc.
Sun: etc.

And then if anyone will be unavailable for more than say, three weeks, we make that change as needed.

deletions-schedule is up. I thought it made sense to split this into at least a couple times a day given the volume, and given that most staff are broadly available either in mornings or evenings.

EDIT: That said, I have no problem running them around noon mountain time on my lunch break during the week, so I'll mark myself a primary for those days.

Thanks! That's exactly what we needed. Thanks for putting the links to the deletion thread and timers too; super efficient.

I've added myself in as backup for three days. Can add more if necessary.

Tentatively added myself, because I'll be working and have crit and 914 to think about. Still, it's not like I can't do all three if it's not too busy.
