Admittedly, this has been bugging me for some time.
Can/should we have a section of the forums dedicated to general question-asking related to writing? Just things like "how do I format this" or "what is a hook" or the like. I've seen quite a few people posting on Thread asking for help with formatting, and there's a ton of posts that have been made in Ideas + Brainstorming that I've just shunted to the General forum because I don't think there's a better place for them.
Also, even with the search bar, it's hard for people to find question threads because General is filled up with so many other things. I feel like this would be more newbie-friendly.
Granted, I haven't been on the site for long and for all I know, there was a "general writing help" thread that didn't go well.
If it does seem like a workable idea though, I'd be willing to move the threads over to the new forum, if it is created. I can also write up a stickied post with guidelines to using the thread and links to the How to Write an SCP guide, with some basic questions and where to look to answer them.
Thoughts?
