One of the guys from the French wiki asked me about altering pictures.
Greetings DrEverettMann.
I am DrMarcus, the person who created the French version of the SCP Foundation. We have been doing translations of your work for several months now ; unfortunately, we came across a small problem when translating specific SCP reports.
Some of those reports contain pictures with text written in english. I will give, as an exemple, SCP-1981, SCP-1020, or SCP-682-J, which is entirely made with pictures. Since our objective is to help people who have trouble understanding the english language to discover the SCP universe, we would like to translate some of these images. However, I believe that, since your work is based on the license called Creative Commons, we require your permission in order to modify these pictures. This message is, therefore, a way to ask for your authorization before adding the translated version of your pictures on the French SCP Foundation site.
Here is an example of one of our attempts at translating one of your images based on SCP-1981.

I replied thusly:
You do not need to ask permission. The particular Creative Commons variant we use allows you to make any changes you like, so long as you give credit credit and link back to the original, and publish the new work under the same license.
