This user has made a lot of edits to SCP articles. Mostly this has been perfectly acceptable grammar cleanup. They've been doing this since middle of last year, and mostly marked their edits as appropriate.
However, more recently, they did two things that aren't okay:
(1) Stopped marking a whole lot of their edits
(2) Randomly changed some MTF task force names and numbers in SCPs, with zero explanation or permission
I've reverted their random MTF changes on the following SCPs:
- SCP-966
- SCP-1139
- SCP-1684
- SCP-1879
I also reverted their changes on SCP-1694 because they changed more than just grammar, but also deleted an important part of a sentence. And at that point I'd already spent too much time going through their unmarked edits to re-fix the grammar.
I sent them a PM telling them they need to mark ALL their edits, and telling them to stop making changes of the kind I reverted.
EDIT: Also a follow-up saying:
To be clear, if you were trying to fix inconsistencies, you MUST ask the authors first. (Or staff, in case of abandoned article.)
This is only a tiny minority of their edits, the most of which were helpful and acceptable, so despite my incredible annoyance at having to waste about 45 minutes going through all their fucking edits to make sure they were okay, I don't think more action needs to be taken at the moment.
