User ShyIsShy posted an article. People were snarky, and he got snarky back. Eventually, he got mad and blanked his article to tell everyone how to read and give feedback:
Seeing as the page has been unanimously made a candidate for deletion I'll just take everything off and save you the trouble of reading it, as well as offer you some of my own criticism. Your guide makes note of "constructive criticism". Of all the comments within the discussion only a minority offered any advice on improving my writing. All others were nothing more than opinion and stating what was awful about the article without offering any advice or example on what would make the concept better.
When you are critiquing an article your opinions should be stated in a way to reflect "Well X is an awful concept, but if you changed it to Y or added some Z it would make it more interesting."
The statements that this article received were all along the lines of "This is awful because A and unoriginal because B."
If you want to be constructive, give your opinion then follow up with a suggestion on what could make the article better. Give examples of ways to add unique twists to an article. Just stating that it doesn't have a good enough gimmick isn't as constructive as offering your own idea of how to improve it.
On a side note, if you were wanting to know more about the SCP itself, this was a comment ShyIsShy made from the discussion thread:
SCP-1987 often ends messages with references to honey and directly refers to itself as "The Buzzing".
Right. After an argument with Mackenzie, the user posted the following:
My vandalism? I put criticism of how you have acted in a place where it can be easily seen.
I thought that this community would be more mature than this, but you're acting like a bunch of fuck ups in Starbucks writing bad poetry and complimenting eachother on how creative and neat they are. Suddenly somebody that isn't in your little clique shows up and gives you something to read and asks for feedback and all you can state is your opinion and why it is bad but refuse to offer any suggestion on how to make it better. This is a wiki, the article could easily be reworked based around criticism. I posted drafts -SEVERAL- times and they were completely looked over.
I wasn't defending this for the sake of defense, I was clarifying points that were brought up. Only two posts actually directly offered advice.
I'm out, I could have stomached just having this deleted if you didn't act like such hypocrites and elitists. Revoke my membership.

I obliged. Membership revoked.
ShyIsShy is currently lurking in chat, probably hoping to see discussion about themselves. If any further incidents occur, please post here. Thanks.
