I was speaking directly to Bunton when the conversation was first struck up BY HIM by way of him going "a-hurr-durr how do people still know that I'm Lycan" which basically boiled down to me and a couple other people saying "It's basically because you still quite often draw attention to the fact that you are, indeed, Lycan, change your name to it all the time to keep it registered."

Soulless was there the entire time. If you'd extended the log by about 5 lines in either direction, you'd see both of those things. The oddest bit about all this honestly seems to be that you're upset that someone dared relate something like this in front of the people being spoken about, rather than in a staff chat custom-tailored for people to rant about users where no one else can see it. We've all done it. Everyone in this thread; the moment it happens where someone else can see it though, it's a problem?

That said, if I'm misinterpreting that, it would at least be a little more appropriate if you'd throw in a log that shows the start and end that obviates the whole "behind their back" thing.

If you want to get up in arms about "badmouthing users without them being present," you each might want to invent a way to bend over backwards and chew your own asses as well. I'm not trying to excuse what I said, but a lot of the rage here seems misplaced at the least.

That said… I apologized both publicly and privately to Soulless to the degree that I could, and have spoken to thedeadlymoose about this at length; you have my assurance that this won't happen again, with a specific bent toward Soulless. Consider me edified and notified.

When Soulless doesn't lie that I know of, and Echo & Yoric misunderstand things all the time? Especially since I've been in Soulless' boat of not understanding social context shit, and I know Soulless well enough to know they never faked that, and yet per Echo just now, they fake it all the time. This is especially aggravating because I also know Soulless put a lot of effort into not being an attention whore when the problem was brought to their attention, and this has been the case for the better part of a year at least.

But even if this story is true, it's still not acceptable for Echo to act this way, and is still a trend, and come on Echo, you know I like and respect you but you should know better by now for fuck's sake. While I understand the need to vent, even about people you may or may not get along with in your immediate circle of friends, even a basic user should have the decency to do so in private. Whether you like it or not, you (and all of us) are held to a higher standard, by virtue of being Staff. Most would probably find the entire concept hilarious that someone who commands literally thousands upon thousands upon thousands of personnel was griping about *me* *personally*, and I would be an instantly notorious to the point of celebrity status in my platoon and company.

To use a military metaphor, a general for us would be some sort of super-admin who controlled dozens and dozens of SCP websites and their translations on each continent, and spanning a network of tens of thousands of writers, on the level of running a massive, global enterprise based on the Foundation.

That's all that's progressed so far. I am ambivalent about this entire situation so… I'll leave it at that, for the time being.

EDIT: To be clear, this isn't meant to be as damning as it might sound. Talking to Echo, he didn't realize that anyone would have a problem with that. To him it was an idle utterance of exasperation, FYI, not trying to start anything. He was surprised to find that people had an issue. That's all I have time to type for now because I've got to run, but yeah.

EDIT: Now that I have more time, clarifying further: The above incident aside, Echo has also been making an effort to be more agreeable and helpful in the past day or so. Which I did not initially mention because this is a disciplinary thread. And because I was late for my family's friday thanksgiving dinner. :P
