I received some PMs from a user named "MrFranzman". I'll post the exchange here without commentary:
Mr. Franzman posts on September 15:
Greetings,
At the suggestion of Dr Gears I am sending out this message to inform everyone of the plan to create a short film adaptation of SCP-087. Currently I am working with a screenwriter, Dr Gears, and the original author to ensure that this adaptation is as true to the source as possible. If any of you senior staff have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to voice them.

I reply to him on September 16:
Please explain your plan to deal with the requirements of the creative commons license regarding derivative works. If you reply to me, I can post your response on the senior staff message board.
Take your time and think this through. I am a lawyer; you should consider consulting with one before spending a significant amount of time on the project.
I don't mean to sound negative; I just want to make sure that you understand that the license requirements are important and they need to be complied with.
I'd also suggest approaching the original author of SCP-087.
MrFranzman responds on September 16:
In response to any concerns over licensing, I have spoken with the original author who has given me her permission to go ahead with this project. Any sources I may cite from the general website will also be properly attributed after expressed permission from the original author.
Any distribution of this project will happen through the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License.
I would also like to clarify that throughout this production I intend to keep both Dr Gears and the original author involved so that I can maintain an image of transparency and cooperation with the SCP Foundation.
If this message leaves any grey area please let me know and I will correct it at once.
