This will hopefully be the very last vote on the subject before we implement the policy. We are revisiting one question in light of the community's feedback.

If Patreon-style links are allowed, should we include campaigns to write SCP Articles, tales, and similar on-site fiction?

I remain against allowing pre-paying for writing work on this site.

Edit: the timing on this is incredibly bad. Posting this on Dec 30 with a 48-hour window will catch a lot of Staff away from the wiki doing family things. Maybe extend it into Jan 2nd or 3rd?

I still would rather wait for the wiki to have long term plans for the future before fully allowing patreon links for works at this current moment, just so everything would be more concrete. That said, should this vote go through, and I'm sure it will, I will do everything in my abilities to ensure this policy is enacted and enforced well.

Patreon is how most struggling, aspiring internet writers make their money in the first place. Seems like a no-brainer.

If the community is for it, we shouldn't be finicky about how a given creator is supported for their work.
