I had a long chat with him before we invited him into the admin channel, and I'm pleased with his answers. He's got a good head on his shoulder, firm opinions on a lot of things, and some interesting and valuable takes on a lot of situations. I think he could be a good asset and a strong member of the team, given time.
That being said, I'd like to give him time. A little longer in the admin chat, just so we can see how he'd react in different situations, as necessary. He's still kind of new, and in spite of a glowing track record as far as authorship goes (he's tied with me, and I've got a year and a half on him), I just want to make sure there are no knee-jerk reactions or big, shiny buttons he might have that could lead to an overreaction down the road.
