You've all noticed the influx of deliberately bad articles of late. I'm proposing an alteration of the deletion process to deal with this. I think it's perfectly reasonable to delete anything that four senior staffers can agree is outright trolling with no 24-hour grace period. The quality of articles lately has fallen off a cliff, and I think pruning the terrible stuff is a better idea than saying anything posted gets a day.
I don't like the idea of calling it pruning, but I generally agree. It should be stressed, though, that this is not a deletion for quality. Those decisions are made by our site members, though voting and commenting.
This is a deletion for trolling, which I think we can define as: creating a page which has the sole purpose of being inflammatory, extraneous, mocking, or highly pejorative in content.
I suggest the following amendment to the deletions guide:
If four members of senior staff (including one moderator or administrator) should agree that a page has been created for the sole purpose of trolling (creating a page which has the sole purpose of being inflammatory, extraneous, mocking, or highly pejorative in content) the user base or a specific user, that article may be deleted without the 24 hour grace period, and the user posting said article may be banned, depending on the frequency or severity of the offense.
Moderator/Administrator clause is in there since they're the ones who can actually do the deleting. Thoughts?
Edit: Also, I strongly suggest that we keep a backup of these articles, with author names attached, in pastebin or similar storage, to keep records.

I support this, if we continue to stress that this is for clear troll posts and keep in mind that there's a difference between that and terrible writing. But I support this.
I would support this policy.
if your reading this your gay

<DrMann> Go ahead and post that you have my support.
I've PM'd Mann the text of this conversation, and in response, was told to do the above.

I would support this.
— edit —
Especially if a) we stress the difference between bad writing and trolling, and keep this strictly for the latter, and b) we keep records of articles deleted for trolling, in order to identify persistent trolls.
I like this. I like this a lot.
The Deletions Guide was updated earlier tonight. We now have an official policy in place. As a note, these were the first two articles deleted for trolling:

SCP-1517's death was a benifit as his blood will allow us to further our chances of finding cures due to his immunities. It turns out his blood may be the cure for Cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, Diabeties, AIDS, Malaria and many more. Its a Scientific breakthrough. However, the if Cure's are discovered, we cannot test on animals due to the fact many animals can't get some of these diseases so the primary way to discover if they work would be to test on humans. If that had to happen, we would have to expose the truth about SCP's and expose the hundred's of years work we've done, if it come to this, may god help us.
