bauerbach1 does not match any existing user name (formerly brandonfave and bauerbach1) has a history of low-quality, somewhat incoherent/immature posts on new articles, most recently today:

Given that they were earlier revoked for this behavior, and their response to the revoke was to delete the first account and make a new one to rejoin the site, it doesn't look like they've improved.

I think we're in official warning territory. Thoughts?

They're continuing to display behavior that indicates that they don't quite understand how the site works:

They received fairly long feedback on a draft, but didn't really change that much about the draft in response to this. (As an aside, they also continue to reply to their own comments, as evidenced here.) They went on to post the article to the site, the current SCP-2783, and have since left the following comments on the discussion page:

As bauerbach1 does not match any existing user name, they appear to have the created an account one hour after the ban… and they're using the same profile picture as their original brandonfave/bauerbach account.

They also asked for feedback on the same draft that they posted after failing to make the use of a long crit they received on it earlier.

Recommending permaban for ban evasion, especially given that this isn't the first time they've tried to "fresh start" over staff action.

Why did you ban me for a week for posting a bad tale? I am very sorry. I am appealing to the week-long ban that I originally received.

Told him to wait the six months he was told before. Normally it's a year but I was trying to be generous, but they seem intent on ignoring staff direction…

You are not guaranteed re-entry on appeal. If staff determine that your behavior has not sufficiently changed by the time of the appeal date, the ban will remain permanent and the next appeal time set at one year from the most recent appeal.

Currently the appeal date is six months from the date of the ban. I was inclined to be generous; however, given your recurrent creation of new accounts to evade bans, other admins prefer a year. If you continue to spam private messages to SCP wiki site members, the appeal date will be pushed back.

If you continue to spam private messages or create alternate accounts, staff will notice this behavior. The content of the appeal request, when you make it, will also be taken into account.

For the record, a successful appeal attempt will need to give a good reason why a banned user should be allowed back on the site, beyond "I promise I won't do it again please please please let me in."

ETA: 06/15 update, got another PM.

Safe: user was warned.
Euclid: user had short ban before.
Keter: user had long ban. Further rule-breaking after reaching Keter warning level results in a permaban.

Staff only deletes forum comments that contain severe rule-breaking material. This keeps site members accountable for the content they post. Furthermore, given that most of these accounts were deleted, the comments wouldn't be associated with the account names, but rather the generic "account deleted" placeholder.

I can remove sandbox pages if you wish, but you will need to provide the relevant links.

Staff keeps public records of all disciplinary cases. This helps keep staff members informed of recent activity, and also offer visibility of disciplinary action to the rest of the community.

Please can you block (ban) user "brandonfave" from the site so I don'the accidentaly join before a successful appeal? Also, will the appeal end up on 05 Command? I am appealing on December 30 and you know what holiday it is the day after. "Until then, I have no business speaking to you." -SCP-CB SCP-079.

Looks like they deleted and re-created their account again.

As per admin consensus in chat, the ban appeal date has been extended to a year, which was the initial ban time. Due to this user's past behavior, I don't have any room to attempt negotiating for a shorter time to wait at this point.

However, as this is not the first time you have contacted a staff member prior to your appeal date despite stating you would not do so, admin consensus has been to re-establish the initial ban appeal date, which is in June of 2018. I am currently no longer able to negotiate in your favor due to how many second chances on the matter you have already received.

Do not contact staff members prior to June 1, 2018.

They sent me a reply about their resolution to not break rules, directly against the "Do not contact staff members prior to June 1, 2018." order in my last PM.

Noting that I have received a PM appeal today:

Dear SCP Wiki Staff

I am appealing a permaban I received on June 13, 2017. I have read the rules many times prior to today, and I understand that what I did was wrong, and I will not do it again if I am allowed back onto the site. The spam/coldposting, as well as the ban evasion, were because I was impatient. I really wanted to get as much feedback as possible in a short amount of time, and I also did not want to wait a whole week to contribute to the site again. The spamming PMs despite having promised to wait until the appeal date was also because I was impatient and had a lot I wanted to say. As the last PM I sent was on August 2, 2017, my patience has most definitely improved. If I am allowed back onto the site, I will use the sandbox and make sure the drafts are almost perfect (by reading and learning from successful SCPs) so I only need to ask for feedback once. I will follow all of the rules from now on if I am allowed back on to the site.
