Admins/Mods/Senior Staff

So, it was brought up in 17, so I'm bringing it up here:

What do you see as the differences, and duties of the three levels? Do we need them all? Should we make more clear delineations? Is it time to start assigning actual duties?

It has also been proposed that we need to clean out some levels a bit, trim down our ranks. How do you feel about that?

The Senior Staff run around helping newbies, providing feedback, and are generally members we hold up and say "Be like this".

Mods run around doing quality control, making sure everything works and all that jazz, in addition to helping the Senior Staff.

Admins do all of the above, make sure everyone else is doing their jobs correctly, decide on Site protocol, and be the awesome god-kings of the SCP that we are.

Least, that's how I see it.

My interpretation's pretty much the same as Kain's.

As for trimming, I suppose we could de-staff the kids on the list who've been away for far too long?

Speaking of which, I'm still here. A virus hit my boxes pretty hard, so I'm using a library PC, but I'm around.

As for trimming the list, Bright, you know my thoughts, and have my support should trimmery become an option.

My interpretation of is spot on with Kain's with one exception: the Senior Staffer's main concern is "Content." They're there to help with quality control, to help the newbies get up to speed, and to help writers make their articles better.

Mods do all that, but their major concern is "Community." They cull bad articles, settle disputes, and keep arguments from spiraling out of hand.

Admins also do all this, but their major concern is "Policy." All the big issues about site direction and formatting should be decided by them.
