moose wanted me to post this here for discussion:
http://scpsandbox2.wikidot.com/chatopthing
This is a proposed guide for chat ops, discussing user intent and how to respond accordingly, guidelines for behavior of ops, and some (hopefully) useful info for day-to-day chat operation, along with a tab of topics that still need to be settled. Before being made official policy, we'd like to get some review and feedback on it. Naturally, we're interested in the opinions of chat admins, ops, and hops, but we also want to invite comment from the community at large.
Note that I did not write this guide (I believe it was written by Troy and moose, though moose won't confirm provenance), I'm just posting on moose's behalf (and sparing y'all a patented moose wall-o-text), so I can't take credit. But something like this has been needed for a good while now, and we need to have a discussion around it.
Moose ninja edit: I forgot to tell Quik the following — that this is an update to this very outdated document. Also, EldritchCyanide (I believe) was working on a totally separate replacement of their own initiative, without knowing about this draft's existence. They may wish to contribute improvements or alternate material to this document. Chat admins didn't relay EC's version or other versions, so they're not presented here yet.
So: what do y'all think of it?
