For those of you not aware, anqxyr has devoted a major portion of everyone's favorite robotic overlord divine cosmic entity chat bot script to image attribution and cataloging. Check out here, particularly in the 1200-1299 section (self-congratulate), to see the current index.
Not only can the Image Team now operate (almost) entirely through IRC commands, but said commands are relatively simple and complete, with, as an example, jarvis able to remove an infringing image, PM the article's author, and make the proper post in the article's Discuss thread with a single command.
A big thanks should go to anq for the amount of work put in to this implementation.
Additionally, the previous edition has highlighted (or taken care of) a number of potential issues; however, that log is notoriously incomplete, and while issues marked "resolved" certainly had been, I've encountered several in the relatively small number of articles I've scanned to date that lack any sort of attribution or statement of origin. It's quite possible that the longevity of the wiki will exceed that of the current moderation and maintenance teams, as holds true for several former staff members and users that only visit sporadically, if at all; no one may be around to ask.
As I've already lost my mind and volunteered for this project, I'd like to ask any current or former staff reading this who had been previously involved in instances of image attribution to give the former log a once-over, particularly the three collapsibles at the bottom, and contact myself or another member of the Image Team with any information you may still have.
Or, you know, come back! :D
Thank you.
