New site member thingoid, now pokemonrules (account age 5 hours, site membership 5 hours) recently coldposted a low-quality article: http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-2285

SCP-2285 is a humanoid who stands 5ft.4 and weighs 400lbs. SCP-2285's skin is coated with a strange grey metallic substance that is virtually unbreakable. It has jaws made of the metal extending off its face which it tries tearing off now and then, but in part to the stasis light it is unable to do so. It's tissue is completely made up of this matter, but even still it's able to sprint at speeds up to 110 mph. as witnessed by Dr.████████.

Yes the story/orgin must make sense as should personality and abilities but concepts they are the absolute design of an SCP. If you don't understand the idea of an anti-SCP listen here I had to come up with a good reason for it to hate SCPs to begin with! Have you any brighter ideas Mr.Sirens? If you do, edit my page and continue asking questions I will try my best to answer them but some questions are best left unanswered.
Oh and I love ending my SCPs with "termination" I know its cheesy but so what?

Got two PMs, after I posted "Dude, how old are you?" on the forums and gave them some advice. The article they posted is now self-deleted.

I get your the site moderator and are hereby proud of that but my age is 12……..

Well its true that I'm not good at typing but in the actual pen to paper world I am one of the best. Except the SCP style of writing is something which I have never tried before of course I based this character off one I made fictionally in a comic series. Which of course had nothing to do with SCP, it amazed me at first my older sister told me it was real she called the phone number and everything which of course was proven false by the site. I then saw the thousands of documents some amazing while some just plain weird I wanted to make a anti-scp of course I wished I spent more time on the product but by having spent six hours brainstorming and typing I thought that was all I needed I thought that it didn't need to make sense, the concept that is.But everyone was starting to grill me for not knowing that just because they have high security that they didn't require extra training. I thought any thing could be an SCP that is why I included the toothbrush SCP to show that but it didn't show.

Moving this to Disciplinary, and requesting three-year ban.

Got another PM after I explained about the age policy:

You judged the writer, you are supposed to critique the work. You as an employee went against your own criticism policy. You have no business judging what I say unless it is hurtful or if I am insulting another user. You reread your policy and be quiet. You asked how old I was and told me I was doing personal attacks nothing I said was abusive. I was just answering his questions! I thought That you a moderator would read your policies but no you are a fool. At least show a little respect butterfly man. Sure tell me it sucks and to take it down, I will. It says you can be as harsh as you like you were not being harsh you were just a cretin veteran who should give some useful advice retard.

I believe that's perma.

ETA: I've never been called butterfly man before.

I dunno, I said dumb fucking shit when I was 12 to people in positions of authority higher than me. I think they'll grow out of it in three years, hopefully. I'm fine with three-year ban (and it's not a repeated troll attack on the site/chat like another incidence that we've had), but if people wanna stick with perma, I can't fault them for that or be unable to see why. I'll send out a ban PM either way so you don't have to.

A permanent ban can be appealed; the difference here being that if they want back into the site at age 15, then they'll have to appeal the ban rather than just say "hey let me back in".

I'm fine with either, but I'm leaning towards perma.

The "another user" in this case was Sirens, who was directly called out. They PMed me with a message:

Do your employees need to follow the criticism policy too? It doesn't seem like Zyn is following it but sadly I have been removed and I deleted my failed SCP which contained the wrongful criticism it wasn't even helpful. He just said "How old are you? The more you try defending yourself with personal attacks the more people wont like what you write." I can't stand it I was just answering questions about my SCP I wouldn't care how much he critiques my writing my problem is that he targeted me as a writer which goes against the policy. Sure after he continued pushing in his rank I called him butterfly man, retard and some other not so nice things of course I sent it to him in private messages so it would be alright. I just want to know whether or not he cares about the policy you have on your website or if it's just there to waste room. I have no want to get my account back because I could always make another where I'll just try being a good writer, because I deserved to be removed but I was removed for the wrong reason. He didn't even answer my message. He removed me to make himself feel better but when I waste 1 hour writing a message and all I get is you are removed. I want you to enforce the policy more that's all I ask. Oh and please reply.

Obviously there's a lot here that's just factually wrong, even just based on what Zyn informed me she sent.

What I'd said originally was: "The moment you start responding to feedback with personal attacks, the number of people who would be interested in helping you drops dramatically. Furthermore, telling the person "then you fix it for me" isn't going to improve your case either. If receiving negative feedback is distressing for you, it's a good idea to take a moment to calm down before talking to your reviewers."

and in a separate post, " Uhhh, dude. How old are you? Just take a deep breath, read the writing guides, ask for help before posting something up for voting, and learn from the experience. This especially applies if you want to become a professional writer someday."

Quick word of advice—if you need to tell people that you're the best, chances are you aren't.

The SCP wiki has strict age requirements for a reason. Clinical tone is a professional style of writing that many individuals don't encounter until advanced high school courses or, most commonly, college. The majority of the site writers are in their twenties or thirties, age-wise. Being excited to write, as it is, does not mean you don't need to follow the rules.

If they really want that reply from me, I don't mind explaining the site policy and required reading to them. At least they realize I'm a staff member, even if the gender and rank were incorrect.
