**Special Containment Procedures:**
The can is to be stored inside a light-proof metal box measuring 30×30×30 cm. Access is restricted exclusively to Level 3 personnel or above. Any peanuts removed from the can must be destroyed after test. Any individual who consumes the peanuts must be placed in quarantine for monitoring and kept away from all peanuts. Personel consuming the peanuts inside the SCP-XXXX container is strictly prohibited. Opening the container without authorization, introducing or removing unauthorized items, and handing the object over to unauthorized parties are strictly forbidden.

**Description:** The object is a metal can resembling standard canned peanuts. The word "PEANUTS" is printed on the exterior, with no listed manufacturer or product information. Its mass remains static at 421 g at all times. Attempts to invert the can do not cause the peanuts inside to spill out. While individual peanuts can be manually extracted, the total quantity remains unchanged, as if the supply is infinite.

**Anomalous Effect #1:** Visual contact with the can induces an urge to eat the peanuts accompanied by mild hunger, however, this effect is weak and can be resisted with the power of will.

**Anomalous Effect #2:** A significantly stronger anomalous effect manifests upon consuming peanuts originating from SCP-XXXX. Upon ingestion, subjects exhibit severe compulsive behavior, continuing to eat despite feeling full. Subjects verbally express a desire to stop, yet continue eating. If forcibly prevented, subjects will attempt to reacquire the object by any means necessary. Following consumption, subjects develop unnaturally large lesions across their bodies.

**Discovery:** Recovered in 20XX from a rural community undergoing a severe food crisis. Due to widespread starvation, the villagers revered SCP-XXXX as a divine gift—an endless source of food. The can was passed from house to house, with residents continuously eating under the assumption that they were still hungry. Suspicion arose only after individuals continued eating uncontrollably until their physical health severely deteriorated and large lesions appeared on their skin.
Foundation personnel intervened following reports of abnormal mass behavior. It was determined that prolonged consumption was fatal, out of 38 affected individuals, 9 died. The remaining survivors were forcibly restrained and quarantined. During a post-containment interview, one survivor described their experience:
"My stomach felt like it was going to burst, but I couldn't stop eating. I didn't know how to stop. Is this how God punishes greedy creatures like us?"

This experiment resulted in severe negative effects on the subject. Testing will proceed.

**Addendum XXXX.2 — Medical Examination**
Medical staff observed large lesions on the subject's skin along with abnormal growths beneath the epidermal layer.
Subsequent analysis revealed a hybrid structure combining human tissue with plant material. No known plant species matches this profile.

The botanical material is unstable outside the host and dies shortly after extraction. These structures are concentrated within the lesions, with root systems extending throughout the subject's body.

Notably, personnel handling SCP-XXXX without ingesting the contents showed no signs of this anomaly. Medical staff concluded that ingestion is the cause of the anomalous effect.

**Addendum XXXX.3 — Terminal Exposure Log**
The subject was allowed a 48-hour recovery period before being reintroduced to the SCP-XXXX testing chamber to observe the terminal stage.
The subject resumed consuming the peanuts relentlessly. After 72 hours of eating constant, the lesions expanded to three times their initial size. Though visually emaciated and weak, the subject slumped over the container with their head inside, continuing to eat. After 144 hours, the subject was declared deceased, their body covered in large lesions. One ruptured lesion sprouted an unidentified flower, then taking the sample and examine it. It's a flower that unidentified.
The subject's remains were incinerated.

**Addendum XXXX.4 — Experiment Log 02**
Researchers attempted to determine whether the compulsive effect originates from the container itself or the peanuts inside.

A sample of peanuts was removed from SCP-XXXX and stored in a sealed laboratory container for 24 hours.

When offered to D-XXXX-02, no anomalous reaction occurred.

Researchers hypothesized that extracted peanuts may lose their anomalous properties over time.

D-XXXX-02 was then presented with fresh PEANUTS directly from SCP-XXXX. Upon consumption, D-XXXX-02 immediately demanded more. When informed that the PEANUTS sample was exhausted, the subject became agitated and begged for SCP-XXXX to be opened.

Dear Zyn, I'm really sorry for using AI. I use AI for fixing Grammar and word, English is not my main language. When I read some of the community, they said you need a basic grammar inorder to go critique. So the critique doesn't have to fix the grammar. That is the reason I use AI. And.. i use google translate and follow other SCP article, that's why some of the text feel weird and complex. It's seems AI generated, but it's mainly made by hand. Everything from the story is original. And for the image, I take it from other person with free license and edit it. I'm really sorry, I will never use AI again. Please unban me

I'm sorry for disturbing your time. I here want to ask something. Am I allowed to put some of my SCP into SCP sandbox? Even thou I'm getting ban.. Im promise I never use AI again. You know, I actually have more of SCP that I already have the concept, the image (that I draw by my self), the story. It's took me Estimated 12 hours just to make one article. Can I put it in SCP sandbox? I'm sorry for taking your time, and I want to say thankyou Zyn for everything. Thankyou for your attention..

ETA: staff discussed, comment noted "Unless they've been banned from the sandbox as well, they're allowed to do that. Regarding the actual appeal segment of this, which is already of little concern on account of them having already appealed, I would've denied anyways on the basis that 12 hours is not nearly enough time to write an article for a new user which tells me they definitely used AI. I'm not too pressed if a user wants to keep using the sandbox, I think in the worst case, we have drafts of their work in case they try to ban evade. In the best case, it can show that the user is making a legitimate attempt to stop using AI, which can help with an appeal down the road."
