### Special Containment Procedures
SCP-9843 is to be kept inside a sealed storage chamber at Site-██. The chamber must remain empty except for SCP-9843 and one monitoring camera.
Personnel are not permitted to open SCP-9843 without authorization from two Level-3 personnel.
### Description
SCP-9843 is an ordinary-looking cardboard box measuring approximately 40 cm × 40 cm × 40 cm. No labels, markings, or unusual materials have been found on its exterior.
The anomaly occurs when the box is opened.
Despite appearing completely empty, SCP-9843 contains an unknown quantity of breathable air. Removing air from the box does not cause the interior to become a vacuum. Any air removed is seemingly replaced immediately.
Attempts to measure the total amount of air inside SCP-9843 have failed. Researchers have reported that the interior appears to become larger the farther they reach into it.
On ██/██/20██, a researcher inserted a tube approximately 12 meters into the box. The tube never reached the opposite side.

A test subject was instructed to place their hand inside SCP-9843.
After approximately 14 seconds, the subject stated:
> "It's not empty."
When asked what they could see, the subject replied:
> "Nothing. That's the problem."
The subject refused to continue the experiment.

A small camera was lowered into SCP-9843
The camera transmitted approximately 37 minutes of footage showing nothing but darkness.
At 37:14, the camera briefly displayed an image of the **outside of SCP-9843**.
The feed then stopped.
The camera was recovered from inside the box approximately six hours later.
It was found sitting on the floor of the containment chamber.
The box had never been opened during that period.
