I know I’m probably going to be demoted to D-class or amnestized for writing this, but I don't care anymore. Someone has to say it.
We’ve been looking at SCP-2718 all wrong.
When O5-11 died and came back talking about the absolute nightmare of the grave—feeling his bones dissolve, feeling the bugs, the eternal crushing agony of being awake inside a rotting corpse—we panicked. We thought it was a cognitive hazard. We thought if people knew about it, they’d trigger it. So we locked the file, hid it, and decided that whenever someone got close to the anomalous, we’d just wipe their brains with Class-A amnestics and send them on their way.
But I’ve been digging into the database. I cross-referenced the Church of the Broken God archives, ancient Ortothan tablets, and some really old Daevite texts.
