Mod Tools Discussion Thread, 10th July, 2026
As per the New Policy, we will hold discussion on whether or not to grant Mod Tools to Cerastes and
Heck_Tech.

| Why: | MAST work often involves interacting with pages that are locked (often when new tags are added, tagging issues are brought to the team, neglected articles in earlier series are found) and interacting with pages through mod tools (namely, deletion). Heck operates within both of these teams along with non-MAST staffing capacities such as Rewrite which would be greatly benefited by access to mod tools. |

| Why: | Cerastes has been putting his nose to the eternal licensebox grindstone, and as is the case all to many times, runs into accursed locked pages. It would much streamline his work to allow him to have access to mod tools rather than have to poke one of us to edit a page or unlock it for him. In short, mod tools would much facilitate his work. |
