Item #: SCP-9942
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-9942 is contained within a standard humanoid anomalous containment unit (HCAU-348) at Site-██. The unit is equipped with a soft bed, sofa, television, private bathroom, and a dedicated weapon rack. SCP-9942-A is stored on the rack and undergoes weekly maintenance inspection.
A soaking protocol must be performed daily: bathroom water temperature is maintained at 38°C, with a single session duration of no less than 60 minutes and no more than 90 minutes. Exceeding this time limit will automatically trigger the drainage and ventilation systems. Interruption of this protocol will trigger a containment breach procedure escalation.
All direct contact with SCP-9942 must be accompanied by at least two armed security personnel equipped with non-lethal restraint devices (electroshock batons, capture nets). In the event of a containment breach where non-lethal measures prove ineffective, the use of blunt instruments for targeted strikes to limb joints is authorized, provided that personnel are made aware of the SCP-9942-D synesthetic effect risk beforehand.
All furniture and facility edges within the containment unit must be blunted. SCP-9942 receives a daily psychiatric evaluation, conducted by a Foundation psychologist with experience in treating violent personality disorders.

Description:
SCP-9942 is a humanoid entity appearing as a female of East Asian descent, approximately 170cm in height, with a physique consistent with long-term physical training. It wears a non-removable standard white patient gown, the material analysis of which reveals anomalous fiber structure inconsistent with any known medical institution's standard uniform. Attempts to cut or peel the garment cause SCP-9942 to experience severe pain responses (see Appendix 9942-03).
SCP-9942 possesses an anomalous weapon, SCP-9942-A: a large board-style blade with an extremely dulled edge, massing approximately 18kg. Despite its physical structure not conforming to any known weapon design, SCP-9942 is capable of using this weapon for blunt-force strikes with anomalous efficiency. SCP-9942-A cannot be effectively wielded by any entity other than SCP-9942; those attempting to do so report feeling "an indescribable heaviness and repulsion."
Anomalous Physiological Characteristics:
· Analgesia: Nociceptive responses in surface and shallow tissues are significantly below baseline human levels. Standard lacerations, punctures, and burns are insufficient to trigger effective pain responses.
· Dermal Durability: Tested to be significantly above baseline human levels, capable of effectively resisting small-arms fire and standard sharp-object lacerations.
· Strength and Speed: Significantly exceed baseline human limits, sufficient to pulverize concrete blocks with bare hands.
· Dermal Regeneration: Extensive tissue damage (including complete excision and third-degree burns) undergoes full regeneration within 72 hours without scarring. Deep tissue (bone, internal organs) regeneration is significantly slower than dermal tissue, approximately 2-3 times standard human healing rates.
· Visceral Vulnerability: Internal organ structure and function are consistent with baseline human physiology, displaying no anomalous reinforcement.
SCP-9942-B ("Eye of Killing Intent"):
SCP-9942's pupils may, when activated, contract into vertical slits. In this state, SCP-9942 is able to perceive and track the spatial position of its "target," regardless of visual obstructions, barriers, or closed eyelids.
The tracked subject will experience a persistent sensation of being watched, accompanied by progressive anxiety, elevated heart rate, and declining motor coordination. This effect intensifies over time; the longest recorded duration in experimental logs is 2 hours and 17 minutes, with the subject ultimately incapacitated by extreme fatigue and psychological collapse.
SCP-9942-B's targeting mechanism is unidirectional and irreversible—once a connection is established, the target cannot interrupt it through any known means (including amnestics, spatial relocation, or cognitohazard shielding). SCP-9942 itself is also unable to voluntarily deactivate the lock, requiring the target's death or loss of vital signs.
SCP-9942-C ("Blunt Existence"):
SCP-9942's anomalous nature is classified as blunt existence. The entity does not demonstrate instantaneous lethality or efficient termination capability, but is able to drag any engagement into a war of attrition. Engagement records with SCP-9942 show a median conflict duration of 94 minutes, with the longest recorded at ██ hours.
In this mode, opponents are not "defeated," but systematically dismantled—physically, psychologically, or both.

Appendix 9942-1: Vulnerability and Containment Exploitation
SCP-9942 possesses a critical vulnerability: deep-tissue hyperalgesia.
While its surface nociceptive responses are attenuated, deep tissue (bone, nerve trunks, internal organs) pain conduction remains at baseline human levels. Upon sustaining damage capable of breaching its pain threshold (such as bone fracture or joint hyperextension), SCP-9942 will immediately enter a collapse state:
· Complete loss of motor function and combat will
· Uncontrollable screaming and convulsions
· Physiological responses consistent with severe post-traumatic stress
SCP-9942-D (Pain Synchronization):
When SCP-9942 enters a collapse state due to extreme pain, the entity responsible for the damage (human or otherwise) will simultaneously experience equivalent pain perception, including psychological mapping of fear responses. This effect persists until SCP-9942 recovers from the collapse state (typically 15-45 minutes), during which the affected individual cannot mitigate the pain through any analgesic means. Should SCP-9942 sustain further damage while in the collapse state, the pain synchronization will stack.
SCP-9942-D's trigger condition is strictly limited to instances where SCP-9942 experiences extreme pain-induced terror. Standard restraint, sedation, or superficial tissue damage do not trigger the effect.

Appendix 9942-2: Behavioral Observation
SCP-9942's post-"hunting" behavior demonstrates a consistent pattern:
1. Return to containment unit or temporary safe area
2. Place SCP-9942-A on the weapon rack
3. Enter the bathroom and submerge in warm water
4. Duration: 60-90 minutes
5. During this period, responses to external stimuli are blunted, presenting as a dissociative state
Psychologist Dr. ████ hypothesizes this behavior serves as SCP-9942's self-regulatory mechanism, used to process psychological stress accumulated during hunting. Interruption of this process results in a marked increase in aggression frequency over the subsequent 48 hours.
SCP-9942 exhibits anomalous writing capability: its writing speed is extremely slow when producing any text. When writing its own name, it ceases after completing only the first letter "A," taking 6 seconds to do so. This behavior is hypothesized to represent cognitive blockage or identity disorder manifestation, though SCP-9942 has refused further explanation. The designation "Ai no Don" (Bluntness of Love) is derived from a phonetic extension of this anomalous writing behavior.

Appendix 9942-3: Incident Logs
Incident 9942-03
Date: 20██/██/██
Description: During a routine inspection, D-4451 attempted to cut SCP-9942's patient gown with a concealed blade. The blade fractured; SCP-9942 exhibited no pain response. D-4451 was subsequently struck on the lower extremities by SCP-9942 using SCP-9942-A, resulting in bilateral comminuted tibial fractures. SCP-9942 continued striking the incapacitated D-4451 until security intervention. Cause of death was determined to be multiple traumatic injuries.
Follow-up: SCP-9942 soaked in the bathroom for 2 hours and 15 minutes post-incident, exceeding standard duration.
Incident 9942-07
Date: 20██/██/██
Description: During a containment breach event, Security Agent ████ struck SCP-9942's right knee joint with a baton, resulting in patellar fracture. SCP-9942 immediately collapsed. Agent ████ simultaneously collapsed and screamed, exhibiting trauma responses consistent with SCP-9942's. Both subjects convulsed synchronously on the floor for 17 minutes.
Follow-up: Agent ████ underwent psychiatric treatment for 6 months before returning to duty, but reported "still feeling that fear, on rainy days." SCP-9942's knee joint healed within 4 days.

Appendix 9942-4: Interview Excerpt
Subject: SCP-9942
Interviewer: Dr. ████
Dr. ████: Why do you… sometimes not kill them? Just break their legs?
SCP-9942: [Long silence, pupils contract into slits] …Not enough soaking yet.
Dr. ████: What do you mean?
SCP-9942: [Looks toward bathroom] Baths… one at a time. People… one at a time.
Dr. ████: And the mutilation of corpses? Those who were already dead—
SCP-9942: [Interrupts] Water gets cold. Then you change it. Once it's changed… [Pause] …then you can soak the next one.
[Interview terminated. SCP-9942 refused to continue, entered the bathroom.]

Appendix 9942-5: Researcher's Notes
SCP-9942's danger does not lie in its strength or that blunt blade.
It lies in the rhythm.
It will not grant you a swift death. It will give you a war you cannot win and cannot flee from. Its eyes lock onto you, its blade follows, and time grows viscous around it. You will tire, you will fear, you will break—and it will still be swinging.
The most horrifying part is its "fairness": if you genuinely make it hurt, it will drag you into its fear. That is not revenge. That is sharing. It does not collapse alone.
We gave it a weapon rack, a soft bed, a television, and a bathroom. Not out of mercy.
Because a soaking SCP-9942 is a hundred times more containable than one roaming the corridors.
