**Description**: SCP-9947 is an inoperative Japanese katana, previously owned by the notable historical figure █████████ during the 19th century. SCP-9947 has been abandoned and unmaintained since 19██. It remains unknown whether its anomalous properties manifested prior to or following its abandonment.
SCP-9947 is located in the central area of █████████, ██████████. It was first discovered when a group of teenage trespassers broke into the abandoned compound. All victims who entered within 15 meters of SCP-9947 were found deceased by local authorities after being reported missing.
Local police chief ███████ encountered SCP-9947 at a distance of 0.2 meters—a range that would result in instantaneous death. He immediately contacted Foundation assets to mobilize and contain SCP-9947.
