## Facility Layout
[[collapsible show="+ Access Facility Map & Structure" hide="- Close Map"]]
The facility is divided into Surface, Operational, Research zones. Levels 1–7 follow standard Foundation config.
### Surface Zone – The Summit Complex
*From engineering assessment 20██ (sanitized; margin notes added)*
The surface complex combines the original summit pinnacle (now comms tower) and an eastern platform (~800m extension). Supported by steel trusses & bedrock-anchored concrete pillars—permafrost delayed pillar installation by 6 months. Total area: ~498,700 m². Rock-patterned cladding, rounded edges; snow cover aids camouflage.
**1. Summit Tower (former peak)**
- Height: 15m above natural summit.
- Functions: Primary comms, radar, meteorology, backup command.
- Exterior: Rock-textured panels; antennas disguised as scientific instruments.
**2. Artificial Platform – Main Areas**
- **Airfield (east)**
- Runway: 3000m × 60m, heated. Handles C-5M, An-124.
- Taxiways/apron: 50,000 m².
- Hangars: 2 large, 1 maintenance.
- Fuel storage: Underground, 10,000 tons.
- Control tower: 30m.
- **Main Complex (central/west)**
- **Entry & Security Hub:** Checkpoint, armory, main elevator. ~500 security.
- **Personnel Quarters:** 20,000 m², 4–5 floors. Dorms, mess, gym, library, observation pod.
- **Administration:** 10,000 m². Offices, secure meeting rooms.
- **Warehousing:** 20,000 m² (partially subsurface). Supplies, cold storage, hazards, munitions.
- **Power & Life Support:** 15,000 m² (semi-subsurface). Geothermal (main), diesel backup, solar auxiliary. O₂ electrolysis, water recycling, heating. [[footnote]]If geothermal fails, backup power lasts 47 minutes. The one time it failed, repair took 46. We don't talk about the other time.[[/footnote]]
- **External Ops Support:** 5,000 m². Gear, O₂ refill, decontamination, airlock.
- **Icefall Corridor** (eastern face, below platform edge)
*From site orientation memo 20██*
> Water pumped from Level 7 borehole, released at 8750m. 120m wide fall, 3500m drop. Surface freezes; interior flows. Tunnel: 200m long, 3m wide. Connects quarters to airfield; spur to viewing platform.
> Safety: exits every 50m, sensors, valves.
> Official purpose: water circulation and geothermal exchange. Unofficial: morale.
> *[Handwritten at bottom, smudged: "First time I walked through, I cried. Not from fear. The ice creaked last week—loud. I stood there for ten minutes. Don't tell anyone. — J.L., Eng"]*
- **Perimeter Security**
Fencing, IR/motion sensors, CCTV. Patrols (two-person teams) on foot or snowmobile. Automated turrets (12.7mm / 40mm) at key points. Surface security: ~500 rotating. MTF Beta-55 deploys globally; responds only to site-level emergencies.
**Operational Levels (1–3, 0–150m):**
* **Level 1:** Logistics, storage, primary data centers, non-classified admin. [[footnote]]The server room hums at the same frequency as the Level 6 crack. Night shift won't go in alone anymore.[[/footnote]]
* **Level 2:** Quarters, medical, cafeteria. (Thursday special: "yaksagna." It's exactly what it sounds like.)
* **Level 3:** Safe / low-risk Euclid containment.
**Research Levels (4–7, 150–300m):**
* **Level 4:** Project Abyss Hub. Star Fragment labs. Level 4/N57 only.
* **Level 5:** High-risk Euclid / Keter. Reality anchors, independent life support.
* **Level 6:** The Crack Monitoring Station. Most heavily guarded area. [[footnote]]Night shift logs note the crack pulses faster when stared at. Officially a "perceptual artifact." Unofficially, no one stares longer than necessary.[[/footnote]]
* **Level 7:** Deepest level. Primary borehole. Access requires Level 5 + Site Director approval. [[footnote]]The borehole whistles when wind blows. There's no wind down there. We've stopped checking.[[/footnote]]

## Facility Overview
SITE-N57 was authorized after Event-57-B: exponential global anomaly rise. 20██ survey confirmed Everest region as a focal point (decommissioned 1990s facility below). Construction began 20██. (First structure completed: the runway. Second: the bar.)
Original mission, "Project Abyss," was to determine the cause of the increase. Radically altered when **Star Fragment (SCP-XXXX pending)**—a humanoid object of extra-universal origin—impacted the region during final construction. Now housed in Level 4. Analysis suggests it originated from a "neighboring" universe within a larger multiversal structure, termed the "Baseline Corridor."
Current hypothesis: Anomalies are not local but an "overflow" from adjacent universes leaking through reality "cracks." The primary crack is on Level 6.
SITE-N57 is a self-sustaining city, designed to outlast global collapse. Personnel are elite, but only senior staff know the full scope of Project Abyss. (Everyone else just knows things are strange and the coffee budget is excessive.)
Motto: "Primary Watchtower." What happens if the crack widens? No one has an answer.

## Anomalous Items in Containment
||~ Item Number ||~ Object Class ||~ Notes ||
|| SCP-XXXX (Star Fragment) || Pending (Euclid/Keter) || Extra-universal humanoid. Inert, low-level reality distortion. Level 4/N57 classified. ||
|| SCP-XXXX || Euclid || Non-natural energy signature from Level 6 crack. Intensity increased 347% since facility activation. (Old reports rounded to 340%.) ||
|| SCP-XXXX-57 || Neutralized (Historical) || Geological sample from 1990s decommissioned site. Confirms crack existed pre-199█. [[footnote]]Box label, handwritten: "Open only if you enjoy existential dread. — Maint"[[/footnote]] ||
*Note: Partial list only. Full inventory offline, accessible to senior research staff.* [[footnote]]Janitors keep finding unlogged items in vents. No one has claimed responsibility.[[/footnote]]
