**Item #:** SCP-XXXX
**Object Class:** Keter
**Special Containment Procedures:** SCP-XXXX-1 is to be contained by MTF unit Epsilon-11 in a six-tonne reinforced steel blast chamber at Site-██. The interior of the blast chamber must be coated in High-Reflective White Polymer to prevent SCP-XXXX-1 from creating a Shadow Vortex (SCP-XXXX-2).
**Description:** SCP-XXXX-1 is an anthropomorphic vulpine entity, standing at an approximate height of 1.8 metres. Composed of an unidentified substance that absorbs 100% of all light, witnesses describe SCP-XXXX-1 as a “Void Fox”, lacking all facial features, fur, depth or texture. Despite its two-dimensional appearance, SCP-XXXX-1 possesses great mass and significant strength, capable of exerting pressure exceeding 59,000 Newtons.
SCP-XXXX-1’s primary effect is the generation of SCP-XXXX-2 (The Shadow Vortex). When SCP-XXXX-1 enters a region with a light level of less than 500 Lux, SCP-XXXX-1 can harness the darkness and summon SCP-XXXX-2 on a nearby surface. SCP-XXXX-2 has two purposes.
**1:** SCP-XXXX-2 erodes all nearby metals, organic material, and electrical components, rendering all tech useless against SCP-XXXX-1.
**2:** SCP-XXXX-1 can enter SCP-XXXX-2 and appear anywhere between two kilometres to a five mile radius of SCP-XXXX-2’s starting point.
The use of High-Reflective White Polymer and high-intensity saturation lighting is the only known method of keeping SCP-XXXX-1 in a state where it cannot create SCP-XXXX-2.
**Addendum XXXX.1: Recovery**
SCP-XXXX was recovered on ██/██/19██ after a farmer in the town of [REDACTED], Alaska, found what he believed was a new species of fox roaming around near his chickens. The farmer proceeded to shoot SCP-XXXX with a handgun multiple times, provoking SCP-XXXX-1, which summons SCP-XXXX-2, instantly eroding the handgun and the farmers skin. SCP-XXXX was found two days later in the town centre after the farmers wife had called local authorities when she discovered her husband’s body. Upon the arrival of MTF Epsilon-11, SCP-XXXX did not resist, only saying seven unintelligible words.
Researcher Note (Dr. ██):
“We are operating on the assumption that SCP-XXXX-2 is merely a transportation method, although we can’t explain the farmer’s body. Further tests are being conducted later in the day.”
**Addendum XXXX.2: Incident log Breach 12-Gamma**
**Date:** ██/██/19██
**Location:** Site-██, Sector Three, Containment Wing B
**Subject:** SCP-XXXX-1
**Description of event**
At 01:25 local time, an external cyber attack from the Chaos Insurgency caused a two-minute shutdown of the Site’s power. Backup generators were also affected.
**01:25:30** SCP-XXXX-1 awakens, heading towards the southeast corner of its containment. As the light level dropped, a large instance of SCP-XXXX-2 manifested on the floor.
**01:25:35** SCP-XXXX-1 appears in the Sector Two storage locker, next to the Class-D cells.
**01:26:01** SCP-XXXX-2 causes 18 Class-D fatalities and two staff fatalities. SCP-XXXX-1 walks towards [https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-002 SCP-002’s] containment chamber.
**01:26:52** SCP-XXXX-1 reaches [https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-002 SCP-002’s] chamber, where it proceeds to create another instance of SCP-XXXX-2 on the floor of 002’s chamber. Footage shows the “Living Room” beginning to expand its mass immediately upon the loss of its power supply.
**01:27:01** Site-██‘s power returns, and all lights begin to power on once again. SCP-XXXX-2 suddenly dissipates from the light, and SCP-XXXX-1 returns to its containment.
//“It didn’t just break it’s own locks. It opened the door for something else to keep us busy. We are re-evaluating SCP-XXXX’s sapience levels. It’s playing chess with us, and it’s starting with our most valuable assets.// - Site Director ██████
**Addendum XXXX.3:** Audio restoration of the recovery tapes suggests the seven words spoken by SCP-XXXX-1 were: ‘I am the Fox at the End’. Dr. ██ notes that SCP-XXXX-1 was staring into SCP-XXXX-2 at the time. Further research suggests that SCP-XXXX-2 could be a door to another universe or timeline.

**Item #:** SCP-XXXX
**Object Class:** Keter
**Special Containment Procedures:** SCP-XXXX to be kept under strict supervision in Sector Three of Site-██. SCP-XXXX’s primary containment unit consists of a 10-tonne chamber composed of galvanised square steel, reinforced with high density lead to dampen SCP-XXXX’s anomalous properties.
**Airlock Protocol**
Entry is restricted to a dual-stage vacuum airlock to prevent SCP-XXXX-1 from breaching using SCP-XXXX-2.
**Stage 1:** All personnel must undergo a full biometric scan.
**Stage 2:** No fewer than two armed guards from MTF Alpha-1 (“Red Right Hand”) must be present inside the interior console. They are authorised to initiate a localised vacuum purge if biological anomalies are detected during transit.
**Stage 3:** The airlock is equipped with 360-degree ultraviolet floodlights. These lights must remain active during the entire protocol to ensure no parts of SCP-XXXX-3 are carried out of the primary cell.
**Maintenance:**
Weekly ultrasonic testing of the steel walls is mandatory. If the galvanisation shows signs of SCP-XXXX-2 or SCP-XXXX-3 particles, the sector is to be evacuated and the emergency ultraviolet lights are to be turned on.
**Description:**
**SCP-XXXX-1:** SCP-XXXX-1 is a sentient entity standing roughly 1.8 meters tall. It has the physical shape of a red fox, but that’s where the similarities end. It’s made of a matte-black “void” material that doesn’t just block light—it //eats// it. If you shine a flashlight on it, the beam just stops. It has no eyes, mouth, bones or organs, but it moves with a weight and intelligence that is clearly predatory.
**SCP-XXXX-2:** SCP-XXXX-2 refers to the “Shadow Vortexes” that the entity creates. When the lights dim, SCP-XXXX-1 can essentially “reach” into any shadow on the floor or walls and open it up into a hole. These holes aren’t just portals; they are violent. Anything that touches the edge of a vortex—whether it’s a steel beam or a human arm—is instantly turned into jagged, black glass shards, and then it consumes it.
**SCP-XXXX-3:** SCP-XXXX-3 is the place on the other side of those holes. We call it the “Mirror Dimension,” but it’s more like a corpse of our world. Drones sent through have returned footage of a Site-██ that looks like it was hit by a “Glass Storm.” Everything is made of that same black, razor-sharp obsidian. The most dangerous part isn’t the terrain, though—it’s the things //living// there. They look exactly like us, but they have no faces, and they spend their time trying to claw their way through the vortex into our side.

**Addendum XXXX-A: Recovery Log**
**Date:** ██/██/19██
**Location:** [REDACTED], Alaska
**Reporting Officer:** Captain J. Miller, MTF Epsilon-11
**Subject:** Initial recovery of SCP-XXXX
**Log Start:**
We arrived at the homestead at 04:00 hours. Local police had cordoned off the area but wouldn’t go within fifty yards of the house. I don’t blame them. The place looked like it was being eating by a fucking shadow.
The porch and the front door weren’t just broken; they had been turned into black, razor sharp glass. Every time the wind caught a loose piece, it sounded like a thousand mirrors were being shattered at once. The sound was enough to kill some of the nearby livestock. Poor fuckers. We found the farmer’s wife on the front lawn. She was catatonic, staring at her own shadow. We had to sedate her she started trying to “peel” the shadow off the grass with her fingernails.
Inside the barn, the temperature dropped about forty fucking degrees. It was bad enough it was the coldest day of the decade. Our flashlights started acting up—not dying, but the beams were being “pulled” towards the center of the room. We found the entity (SCP-XXXX-1) sitting on a pile of what used to be a tractor. It was just a black shape in the middle of a barn that was slowly turning into an obsidian forest.
One of my guys, Private Henderson, tripped and his hand brushed against a “Vortex” (SCP-XXXX-2) on the barn floor. He didn’t even scream at first. He just looked down as his glove, skin and bone turned into black shards in less than a second. We had to cauterise the stump right there because the “glass” was starting to spread up his arm like a virus.
The entity didn’t move until we surrounded it with floodlights. It stood up 1.8 meters, no face, just that matte-black void, and it looked right at me. The fucker just looked at me. I could sense something though, something //wrong// about this thing… because it just sat down and waited for us to contain it.
**Log End:**
//Note: we recovered three “Mirror-Coyotes” (SCP-XXXX-3-A) from the crawl space under the house. They didn’t have eyes, and they moved like liquid glass. Alpha-1 handled the cleanup. Henderson is still in the infirmary; his blood is testing positive for silica. Poor bitch.//

**Addendum XXXX-B: Incident log XXXX-Gamma**
**Date:** ██/██/19██
**Location:** Site-██, Sector Three
**Subject:** SCP-XXXX-1
**01:25:00:** An external cyber attack (suspected Chaos Insurgency origin) triggers a site-wide “Black-Start” power reset. Primary and secondary UV floodlights in Sector Three fail.
**01:25:10:** Ambient light in the chamber drops to 0.02 Lux. SCP-XXXX-1 immediately initiates a breach. High-speed thermal imaging shows the entity “diving” into the shadow cast by the primary containment door.
**01:25:30:** A massive instance of SCP-XXXX-2 manifests in the hallway outside the airlock.
**01:25:45: [AUDIO LOG START]** //(Sound of metal screaming and heavy static)//
**Guard One (Alpha-1):** “Get the flares up! It’s coming through the floor! Control, why the fuck are the vents opening?
**Control:** “The system is cycling. We can’t override the vacuum seals from here. Hold your position”
**Guard Two (Alpha-1):** “Hold what? Look at Miller’s shadow, it’s… it’s standing up!”
//(Sound of glass shattering. High-pitched screaming identified as SCP-XXXX-3-A entities)//
**Guard One:** Contact! Contact! It’s not the fox! It’s us! The things coming out have our faces! Shoot the reflections! Shoot the—
//(Rapid gunfire followed by the sound of heavy objects hitting the floor like dropping bags of marbles//
**[END AUDIO LOG]**
**01:26:30:** Site-wide emergency power returns. UV floodlights stabilise.
**Post-Incident Summary:** The breach lasted 90 seconds. In that time, SCP-XXXX-1 didn't even leave the sector. It didn't have to. It just stayed in the dark and "opened the door."
We found the two Alpha-1 guards near the console. They weren't dead in the traditional sense. Their bodies were intact, but their skin had turned into that matte-black obsidian. When the medical team touched one of them, his entire left arm just fell off and shattered into dust.
Worse yet, the "Mirror-Guards" (SCP-XXXX-3-A) managed to drag a Class-D back into the vortex before the lights came on. We can still hear him screaming from inside the steel walls of the containment chamber. Except he’s not screaming for help. He’s laughing.
**Researcher Note:** //“The fox wasn't trying to escape. It was 'trading.' One of ours for one of theirs. We need to re-evaluate the lead lining. The steel is starting to show more of those black pits. It’s getting hungry.”// — Dr. ████
