Noting that new site member

Item #: SCP-9061
Object Class: Keter
Threat Level: Red ●
Special Containment Procedures
SCP-9061 is contained in a reinforced humanoid containment wing at Site-17, retrofitted with:
Continuous EEG, ECG, and memetic resonance monitoring
Autonomous suppression turrets loaded with high-velocity tranquilizer rounds
Scranton Reality Anchors (SRAs) calibrated to low-yield stabilization
No more than one (1) active instance of SCP-9061 is permitted at any time.
If additional instances manifest, all but one are to be terminated immediately. Reintegration is prohibited without O5 authorization.
In the event of uncontrolled exponential manifestation, Protocol MIRRORFALL is to be enacted:
Immediate site lockdown
Deployment of Mobile Task Force Omega-12 (“Janus”)
Activation of full-spectrum reality suppression grid
Authorization of localized amnestic aerosol dispersal to civilian populations
Global monitoring satellites are tasked with identifying mass-duplication events matching SCP-9061’s genetic profile.
Description
SCP-9061 is a 20-year-old human female, formerly identified as Avery Kessler (identity permanently sealed).
SCP-9061 possesses the ability to generate fully autonomous, biologically complete duplicates of herself (designated SCP-9061-1 instances) at will.
Current research confirms:
There is no physiological strain limiting duplication.
There is no observable upper limit to the number of instances.
Instances do not require SCP-9061’s conscious intent to manifest.
Instances appear instantaneously within a 5-meter radius, though long-range manifestations (up to 3 km) have occurred during high-stress events.
All instances share memory continuity at the moment of creation, but increasingly demonstrate cross-instance awareness after divergence.
Reclassification Summary
SCP-9061 was reclassified to Keter following Incident 9061-OMEGA.
During a containment breach triggered by a panic response:
1 instance became 12 within 18 seconds.
12 became 147 within 3 minutes.
147 became 3,204 within 11 minutes.
Growth pattern was determined to be exponential, not linear.
Several SCP-9061-1 instances began duplicating independently.
This marked the first confirmed case of secondary propagation, where instances manifested further instances without a designated “primary” body present.
Foundation casualties: 63
Site-17 rendered temporarily uninhabitable.
Addendum 9061-A: Distributed Consciousness Discovery
Post-incident neurological analysis revealed:
Terminating an instance does not reduce overall neural signal complexity.
SCP-9061’s consciousness functions as a non-localized field phenomenon.
There is no verifiable “original” instance.
When asked which body was primary, SCP-9061 responded:
“That’s not how it works anymore.”
Addendum 9061-B: The Replacement Event
On ██/██/20██, the contained instance of SCP-9061 was terminated following a medical complication.
Within 0.7 seconds:
A new instance manifested in São Paulo, Brazil.
Another manifested in Helsinki, Finland.
Three manifested in rural Nevada.
All displayed identical memory continuity up to the termination event.
Termination of any instance appears to trigger compensatory manifestation elsewhere.
Conventional neutralization is currently considered impossible.
Addendum 9061-C: Psychological Drift
As duplication events increase, behavioral divergence between instances accelerates.
Recovered audio from Incident 9061-OMEGA:
Instance 44: “We should stop.”
Instance 112: “We can’t.”
Instance 301: “There doesn’t have to be just one of us.”
Instance 512: “Why should there be?”
Several instances demonstrated coordinated resistance to containment forces.
Current Theories
1. Identity Cascade Model
SCP-9061 is no longer an individual, but a self-propagating ontological constant.
2. Species Event Hypothesis
SCP-9061 represents an emergent post-human reproductive adaptation.
3. Reality Instability Vector
Unchecked exponential growth may cause planetary biomass displacement within 18 months.
O5 Council Memorandum (Excerpt)
We are not containing a woman.
We are containing the failure of singular identity.
Current Status
SCP-9061 currently exists as:
1 contained instance at Site-17
7 uncontained instances worldwide (under surveillance)
An unknown number of dormant potential manifestations
The contained instance has ceased voluntary communication.
During its last recorded interview, SCP-9061 smiled and stated:
“You still think I’m in one place.”
