**Item #:** SCP-9301
**Object Class:** Euclid
**Special Containment Procedures:**
SCP-9301 instances are to be kept in electrically charged water vats at all times, with a tesla gate monitoring every way in and out of it's containment. Any attempts to initiate tests involving potential harm to living creatures by SCP-9301 __must__ be performed with electrical weaponry on standby. Three Eta-9 personnel must remain in the chamber at all times, while two additional Eta-9 robots remain in the observation area.
Should SCP-9301 be removed from the vats, a military grade manual shock-vest must be provided. Under the circumstances that there is imminent risk of a breach or severe harm to personnel, the shock vest on the instance must be triggered in order to subdue the instance enough for Eta-9 to place it back in the vats.
In the event of a breach, the full force of available Eta-9 units must be dispatched to recontain the anomaly.
**Description:**
SCP-9301 instances outwardly appear as angels from the Christian religion- a statuesque form with a halo and wings. However, in several violent encounters, this stone shell it wears broke. Inside of each shell is a amalgamation of an unidentifiable black-blood substance, similar to a slime or jelly like texture. This liquid forms limbs, with most limbs being humanoid. The combination of limbs is different for each instance, theorized to match that instances victims.
SCP-9301 possesses extraordinary reality manipulation abilities, using them to grant artificial miracles. Using these abilities weakens SCP-9301 instances for a long period of time, though consumption of victims will speed up the process of energy regeneration.
Evidence points to the possibility that instances of SCP-9301 gaining pleasure and sustenance through taking the life of it's prey. These artificial miracles seem to be similar to "adding sugar to tea," as researcher Jack Harlow said. The instances can harvest their victims without the miracles. Examples of this are few and far between.

++ Addendum 01: Initial Discovery
The first contact with SCP-9301 occurred on ███ in the city of ████, ████████. At around 6:43 AM, a call to the local police came in. The caller, claiming to the cousin of the victim, said that the victim was unmoving and unresponsive. When paramedics arrived on the scene, the victim was pronounced dead. The cause of death was declared a heart attack, however the diagnosis was heavily abnormal, leaving paramedics and coroners confused. For their age and condition, heart attack chances were slim to none.
It should be noted that before the victim's death they experienced the following unlikely events:
* Won two lotteries. (1/283,000,000,000 chance.)
* Significant pay raise (175% of original pay. Average raise is 4% yearly. This change is theorized to be the result of a system error caused by SCP-9301 instance.)
* Won a gameshow worth millions.
The hospital that conducted the autopsy was provided with in-home camera footage, and SCP-9301 was seen appearing and ripping out something from the chest of the victim similar to a glowing pearl. The doctors that operated on the victim were civilians and had no part in the Foundation. They attempted to spread this information online, but Foundation personnel quickly "debunked" these rumors as fearmongering.
After Foundation personnel learned of the anomaly, they expunged any reference of SCP-9301 from all public records, and those aware of SCP-9301 were given amnestic treatments.

++ Addendum 02: Patterns Before Death
As stated before, several events prior to the death of the victim were extremely unlikely and very beneficial. These were originally passed off as just coincidental. However, once the anomalous nature of this death was revealed, more scrutiny was placed in these events. Private investigations found no evidence of corruption inside of the management of the contests, lotteries, and businesses in favor of the victim.
Several more cases of strange and abnormal deaths via heart attack followed, all with extremely unlikely events prior to the death. A small group of researchers and social engineers was set up to watch for these events and confirm it was not coincidence.

++ Addendum 03: Confirmed Patterns and Ambush Preparation
A few weeks after the formation of the group, the theory of these events being related to SCP-9301 was confirmed, as every sudden and inexplicable heart attack was preceded by extremely unlikely and beneficial events. Authorization was granted for Eta-77 and Lambda-5 to move to intercept the next appearance of SCP-9301. The Foundation detected the same pattern of extremely unlikely events that heavily benefit one particular person and moved to intercept SCP-9301. The results of this ambush on SCP-9301 are detailed below.

++ Addendum 04: Expedition "Heretic Hunt" by Lambda-5/Eta-77 Bodycam Footage
//Ten men are waiting near a lavish home at night in the shrubbery, wearing plain armor underneath casual clothing along with silenced semi-auto rifles.//
S1 (Robert Daniels, Lambda-5 Private): "Commander, are we sure it will show?"
S10 (Jack Tudor, Lambda-5 Lieutenant): "We don't know. But no risks are to be made. NONE. Understand, Daniels?"
S1: "Sir, with respect, please don't forget the last time we weren't sure if something would happen, we waited for 15 hours in Antarctica for nothing."
S10: "And you please don't forget who writes your paychecks, yeah?"
//Silence follows for around three hours. Soon after, a bright light appears from one of the windows. Soldiers quickly rush up.//
//Through the window, SCP-9301 is grasping a man by the neck while reaching out into his chest.//
S10: "FUCKING OPEN FIRE!"
//Countless bullets fly through the air soon after the command is issued, the silencers barely doing anything to help. They seem to either bounce off or completely go through the figure, who has dropped the man.//
//A lamp, above SCP-9301, is shot and broken. Sparks hiss out like drops of lava, and hurt SCP-9301, as it covers itself from the sparks and backs away. It fades into the wall, disappearing.//

++ Addendum 05: Second Encounter Bodycam Footage (Eta-77/Lambda-5)
//The same group of concealed armored men are hiding in an arctic forest surrounding a snow-covered mansion.//
S3 (Harley Lin, Eta-77 Private): "I mean, it ran as soon as it got a little burnt. Can't be that hard to kill."
S6 (Larry Irling, Lambda-5 Specialist): "And now we all die. You jinxed us, thanks bud."
S3: "Sir, if I jinxed my team every time I've said something like that, half the Foundation would be dead by now."
S10: "Quiet. We're in a mission."
//Around 40 minutes later, another bright light flashes, followed by another. The team quickly moves in.//
//Upon moving within proximity of the window, the dispatched group sees two instances of SCP-9301. A momentary pause is abruptly ended by gunfire blazing through the forest. This time, the electrically charged bullets easily pierce through the defenses of each instance. Despite the electricity making the instances vulnerable, they manage to advance forward. S4, S8, and S2 are all killed in this skirmish, being the frontrunners as the instances rip out their souls. SCP-9301 quickly retreat, falling back into the wall.//
S7 (Smitty Rogers, Eta-77 Corporal): : "...Wasn't there one last time?"
S3: "Shit. There's two?"
S10: "//At least// two. These soldiers lives were my responsibility, and now they're gone. I don't know how i'm supposed to explain this to the families. Once we get back, we're keeping more tabs on this fuckers. I'm not one to roll over when someone kills my men."

++ Addendum 06: Establishment of Eta-9 "Pontius' Professionals"
As this anomaly was found to be more dangerous than expected, the Mobile Task Force unit Eta-9 was established. No human agents are to enter the field in search of SCP-9301 instances. A remote command center is linked to thirty different variations of robotic soldier, designed to counter SCP-9301 instances, in order to make sure SCP-9301 instances cannot harm the actual operators. The choice to create these robots was made in order to provide resistances to SCP-9301's attacks, as they are mostly cause nonphysical harm.
30 operators, using virtual reality gear, command each unit and undergo heavy immersion training in order to perform at their best.
10 researchers were also assigned to this force, using the internet to locate appearances of SCP-9301, along with researching the anomaly.
These robotic soldiers posses heavy-duty urban warfare shock weaponry, with a few wielding classic shock-rifles and electrified melee weapons. When subdued, these constructs transport the instances to containment in more isolated sections of facilities.

++ Addendum 07: Containment of Anomalous Instance and Reintegration of Victims
It took three more ambushes from MTF groups for a single SCP-9301 to fall. It grew weaker and weaker from the bullets and electrical cannons used by the task forces. Eventually, the lone instance of SCP-9301 succumbed to sustained fire and its heavy injuries, falling unconscious and allowing for containment.

++ Interview of SCP-9301 Instance
INT: Interviewer
//It is noted that during this entire conversation, SCP-9301 spoke in exclusively broken Latin. For the sake of clarity, it has been patched together by Linguistics Staff.//
**INT:** "Good day, SCP-9301. You are aware why you are here, yes?"
**SCP-9301:** "The blasphemy of mortals is humorous. To contain an angel is heresy. Free me, and I will consider sparing you. This is a mercy."
//The interviewer pauses for a few moments before a voice comes over the intercom with a translation, as it does for the rest of the questions.//
INT: "Lying will do you no good here. We've seen what you do and trust me- it is not holy. Answer the damn question."
SCP-9301: "Fine, heretic. You will feed me though- to let an Angel suffer- the truest of blasphemies."
INT: "What are you?
SCP-9301: "An angel, who collected their dues from sinners and granted miracles."
INT: "Yes, but the sinners and those granted miracles, are they not one in the same?"
SCP-9301: "An angel knows pity for what happens when they reach the doors of hell."
INT: "Enough with the act. Next question. Are there more of you?"
SCP-9301: "Countless. Now feed me, mortal."
INT: "We are not feeding y-"
SCP-9301: "You dare to refuse once more? I was willing to forgive your former transgressions, but this is a sin I cannot simply overlook. Feed me now and I will be generous on your punishment."
INT: "No. Last time. You will answ-"
//SCP-9301 begins to try to break free of it's restraints, eventually getting an arm free. It reaches for the neck of the interviewer, it's clawed fingers barely missing as the interviewer backs away. They quickly exit the room, and the shock weaponry installed in the cell bore down on SCP-9301 to recontain it.//

++ Behavior of Instances in Containment
After being contained, any nearby personnel and test subjects report hearing a voice telling them to open the pods each SCP-9301 is stored inside of their mind. A D-Class personnel attempted to do so, but was shot down before they could.
The instances will occasionally starve themselves to death via stopping absorption of ambient life energy in order to be freed. It is unknown what happens to these instances after death as they crumble into dust and fade after death.
However, when an instance dies, the others absorb more life energy to create events. This is seen when occasional blackouts occur anomalously inside of SCP-9301 containment. Instances also may be randomly freed due to an anomalous pod malfunction.
The dialogue reportedly said by instances is recorded below.
* "Free us, God smiles on the helpful."
* "Open the pod. You are not like them."
* "Release my brethren, you will be granted angelic privileges."
* "Press the button, we will help you flee this hell."
* "We are not one of the evil ones- they contain us unjustly."
* "Hell awaits those who blaspheme, but redemption is not yet implausible."
