Purpose:
On October 6th 2025, the Disciplinary Team was made aware of an incident between two members of staff, syuzhet and riftwqlker does not match any existing user name which began in the SCP-General discussion of the SCP Foundation official channel and culminated in monetary exchange in return for the unilateral abuse of moderation power. In more simple terms: A staff member offered a bribe in a public channel at large for a moderator to commit an abuse of power, and a moderator followed through. Initially Discord Staff and the Disciplinary Team did not fully act upon these events, but did strip riftwqlker of their moderation position, and syuzhet was admonished in private by their captain.
On October 20th an admin reinitiated the issue and after investigation the team has determined the issue to be of sufficient concern to warrant further discussion about syuzhet's behavior and role in this incident.
Given the nature of the events in question, their violation of multiple rules, and the behavior unbecoming of a staff member, the Disciplinary Team determined that the evidence warranted disciplinary review proceedings. Afterward the Disciplinary Team gathered this evidence, connected cases and evidence, evaluated them, and determined that they should be presented in this thread.
Claims:
This section will break down the central event and claim against syuzhet and the evidence found to support this claim.
Syuzhet Makes a Public Bribe Offer For Staff Action
The SCP Foundation Official Discord Server (19cord) uses a generalized filter for several different forms of forbidden terms. Among these are the slur filter (which blocks certain terms from being posted altogether, along with informing moderators when an attempt to post them is made), the dogwhistle filter (which does not block terms, but which informs moderators of their use), and the username filter (which blocks certain terms from being used in users' nicknames).
On October 6th 2025, syuzhet attempted to publicly bribe Yossipossi to remove the "Kill Yourself/KYS" from the dogwhistle filter for $20. When Yossi did not respond to that offer she then widened the Bribe attempt to all moderators. It is important to address that this is not the first time that syuzhet has made public bribe offers or directly asked other moderators to take unilateral action.

In the months prior to this incident, the term "kill yourself/kys" had been called into question as for whether it should continue to be included in the filter. The argument for its removal correctly pointed out that it was almost never used maliciously or in reference to fellow users, and that even innocuous uses of the term would trigger the filter. For this reason, and because syuzhet had previously been involved in such discussions on the side of removal, it is unlikely that her intention for removing the term was to be able to use it against other users.
Six minutes after the public offer was made by syuzhet, riftwqlker then unilaterally removed the term from the filter, which sent a notification in a private moderation channel, after which they admitted to taking action for the bribe.

Two minutes after the unilateral moderator action, syuzhet sent riftwqlker $20 via paypal, completing the exchange. Offering monetary reward for staffwork/staff actions, especially abuses of power, is against the donations policy .
Under no circumstances may SCP Wiki Staff accept any compensation for the performance of staff duties. Any attempts to bribe staff into performing duties also constitutes a violation of this policy.

Syuzhet then messaged Naepic 25 minutes later to notify him of the exchange and that she had been made aware that it was in violation of the donations policy.

At this point riftwqlker was swiftly removed from their position as moderator by the captains of the Discord Team and their actions reverted. Naepic, who was already aware of the action by syuzhet, was then notified by Discord Staff, and Admins were informed of the behavior. syuzhet has admitted to carrying through on the bribe and the monetary exchange and has not denied doing so.
Syuzhet Continues to Make Light of The Violation in SCP General
A little more than 24 hours after the initial incident, syuzhet again offered to compensate a staff member for staff work, this time by offering to buy them a game. Additionally, she would later ask for other staff members to pay her. While none of these instances resulted in further monetary exchange, they nonetheless show a lack of judgement and a disregard for the gravity of the rules which were violated.

Syuzhet Broke Site Rules and Engaged in Behavior Unbecoming of a Staff Member
Besides clear bribery/exchange of monetary value for staff actions being against site rules, syuzhet is an operational staff member, a prominent member of the contest team, a major public fixture in the community, and one of the key contributors to Internet Outreach Social Media posts. As a staff member she is expected to set an example for others in the community. Offering and carrying through on monetary exchange for abuse of power, along with failing to respect the rules in question after being initially warned by one's captain, are gross violations of integrity, expectations of SCP staff, and behavior not only unbecoming of a community member, but requiring review and serious consequences.
Recommendation:
Given the severity of the actions, it is the recommendation of the Disciplinary Team that syuzhet receive the following consequences:
For violation of the donations policy and behavior unbefitting of a member of staff:
• Removal from staff.
These are only recommendations. Any staff member in this thread may support these suggestions, offer an alternative, or advocate for no action to be taken.
Process:
The specifics of this punishment and the passage thereof are the subject of this thread and open to discussion. In line with our current charter, the punishment given to syuzhet will be whatever the consensus is among staff present for this discussion. If the staff body determines syuzhet should receive a more lenient punishment counter to what is recommended above, it will be enacted. For clarity and ease of tallying, please bold your suggested punishment. In recognition of the severity of Syuzhet's behavior, Disciplinary and the Admin team have elected to hold Syuzhet's staff access and permissions in abeyance for the duration of these proceedings.
Please note that Syuzhet is granted the opportunity to defend her actions within this thread as stated by the demotions procedure in the charter.
This thread will be open for seven days and is open to OS+. Any questions or concerns regarding the process of demotion should be sent to DrBleep or another member of the disciplinary committee.
Please remain civil and on topic.
