**Special Containment Procedures:** To keep this entity contained, you must make sure the room is completely dark (no light at all). the room must be completely shut if you fail to do so, it will teleport out. It only stays in shadows. This entity hates light, we do not know why. If it comes in contact with any sort of light, it will teleport to the closet shadow. It will try to escape your containment. You must make sure there are no shadows in a 8 kilometer radius of this entity. If there is, you are no longer safe, and you have let the entity out. It now has learned more about the foundation, and it will be extremely hard to capture, and contain again.
**Description:** This entity also know as "Notcalon" is a large creature, standing at about 8' 7". It has blue-ish feathers, and is extremely pale and skinny. It has a human head, with a long beak made of skin attached to its face. The entity's beak is sealed shut, it try's to pry it open because it cannot breathe, but somehow still lives, we do not know how. It has extremely sharp, and long claws. It ages, but there are no apparent changes in its behaver or looks. From what we know it seems to have an extremely long life span, and as of the date ██/██/20██, the estimated age of the entity is 100 years old. The entity also cannot be captured in cameras (See research log **1** for more details). The entity is mostly seen (when uncontained), in Southeast, USA, between the times 6:00pm-4:00am. It kills mostly humans, and sometimes pets, with its long and extremely sharp claws. It usually hangs around in shaded or dark areas, or wooded areas, and forests. The entity can teleport rapidly through shadows and kills people almost instantly, and when uncontained 6,000 - 12,000 deaths are reported.

Surveillance footage revealed a dark, humanoid silhouette moving unnaturally through unlit areas, consistent with SCP-8542’s current description.
Incident Details:
Mobile Task Force Psi-8 ("See No Evil") was deployed at 22:03 and arrived on-site at 22:41. The entity appeared to exhibit teleportation through shadows, resulting in multiple casualties among first responders before containment was achieved. Infrared illumination and high-intensity light projectors were utilized to immobilize the entity long enough for field containment.
