I responded:
I'm assuming you're referring to the single asterisks in the note about the consideration on Safe reclassification.
Correct, in addition to the portion beginning with "*Note: Initially, the experiment was supposed to run for 28 days."
I thought the ones between each section would help to break up the text and make the separation more straightforward.
The lines are inconsistent between sections; the starting template headings have single divider lines, while all the addenda have the headings enclosed in two divider lines.
Honestly, I'm unsure what you mean by the 'signoff'. Do you mean the last journal entry? Where Doctor Fountain says, "That's all,"
No, I was referring to an older version of the page before you edited it, which had the text:
Post-Test Note, Dr. Fountain:
“Its compliance was reluctant, but not forced. SCP-9000 unravels when deprived of what it is made to consume. It does not lash out. It pleads. This is not malice, but hunger — and hunger, in its way, can be no less frightening. This is not an anomaly that threatens, but one that reminds us what isolation does to the soul.”
Which is an extremely common ending format for AI-generated pages.

Honestly, I'm not sure why I put an asterisk there. It may be an artifact from when I was editing the article in my Google doc. I think I was unsure about my wording and wanted to remind myself to read it over again in some way. I've mainly been writing and editing in the doc and then pasting it here.

Again, this has to do with trying to frame the title of each addenda in some way. I'm still very inexperienced with this format and was experimenting with different ways to separate the sections. The lines framing them held a certain aesthetic to me.

I actually went back and forth on that note a lot. I have notes at the end of other addenda, but I wasn't sure where to put that one. I had considered putting it in a journal entry, but it didn't really fit. It wasn't long enough to justify its own entry. Nor did it feel like it fit anywhere else. The note remains, but I did make a small edit to tighten the wording. Originally I wanted something evocative of an eerily contemplative musing for a character one might find in Lovecraft or Poe. However, I felt my first pass was a little too derivative.

Why did you use Google Docs instead of your sandbox page?
I've mainly been writing and editing in the doc and then pasting it here.
Do you have screenshots of initial page versions in Google Docs to confirm the starting content was written by you and not AI-generated?

Unfortunately, I don’t have screenshots of the earliest drafts. This project began in Microsoft Word while I was on breaks at work with my laptop, where I didn’t have internet access. What I can provide are screenshots showing when those documents were created and last edited, and where I later pasted the draft into Google Docs to keep working. If it helps, I can also share my original outline so you can see my process. To answer your first question, I was writing in Word and then Docs because I saw the contest was coming up and started writing before I actually figured out the details of creating an account on Wiki Dot, The SCP wiki, and Sandbox. I've been thinking about this SCP for a while now and the contest gave me the motivation I needed to finally create an account and put it out there. I understand your concerns, and I’m willing to be as transparent as I can about how this was put together. Would you like me to send you everything I mentioned in A PM or Discord?

Since these kinds of screenshots are easily faked, no need to send this.

If these are accompanied by a timestamp, such as a prior version date listed in a Google Doc's history, this kind of screenshot would be helpful for staff to review.
I saw the contest was coming up and started writing before I actually figured out the details of creating an account on Wiki Dot, The SCP wiki, and Sandbox.
Given that you have a non-standard format with additional code for custom colors, it seems unusual to continue drafting in Google Docs after you've posted the page to the mainsite, especially given that Google Docs does not have the option of previewing the wikidot formatting. Also, sandboxes retain prior versions of all revisions, which makes it much easier to track legitimate edits.
Would you like me to send you everything I mentioned in a PM or Discord?
For transparency, you can upload the screenshots to your sandbox and post the link(s) here in the discussion thread. Please make sure to black out any personal identifying information before uploading images.

I’ll do my best to gather and share what I can here, but I’ll need some time to work out the technical side of hosting and posting it, as I'm still new to this. My outline exists in Word, not Google Docs, so it doesn’t have version history. I'll still attach it so you can see my process. To answer your concern about Google Docs, I'm simply more comfortable writing there or in Microsoft Word, where the formatting isn't in the way. I’ll post the materials once I’ve figured out the format.
