Note: original pre-trimmed thread description was:
SCP-9000 is a phenomenon where inevitability itself breaks. events that should have a 100% certain outcome - death, collapse, entropy - sometimes derail into impossible exceptions. bullets stop midair, the dead revive without damage, executions fail, structures survive total destruction. it isn’t consistent: sometimes it halts decay, sometimes it creates impossible noise. it doesn’t appear sentient, but the fact it only manifests around “final” moments makes researchers wonder if there’s intention behind it. containment is impossible; the foundation can only monitor, document, and try to anchor probabilities (with mixed, often paradoxical, results). survivors often interpret their escape as divine or personal selection - some even believe they are SCP-9000. at its core, SCP-9000 embodies the theme: nothing is inevitable. there is always an exception.
**Seeking Greenlights:** Yes
**Page Type:** SCP Article
**Genre (Optional):** Cosmic Horror
**Elevator Pitch:** SCP-9000 is the anomaly that breaks certainty itself. whenever the universe insists something must happen - death, collapse, entropy - SCP-9000 inserts an impossible exception. it doesn’t save or destroy consistently, and it doesn’t seem to choose who benefits or suffers. it’s not luck, not fate, not even chaos - it’s the reminder that inevitability is an illusion.
**Central Narrative:** every system - physics, probability, entropy, even death itself - insists on fixed outcomes. but SCP-9000 exists as the outlier, the discontinuity, the impossible exception.
it is not benevolent or malevolent - it does not "save" or "punish" in a consistent way. sometimes it overturns tragedy, sometimes it undermines justice, sometimes it simply breaks something trivial.
the story being told through logs, interviews, and memoranda is that the foundation cannot fully predict, contain, or weaponize it. the universe itself seems to tolerate inevitability only up to a point before SCP-9000 intervenes.
thematically, it embodies the idea that certainty - whether scientific, theological, or existential - will always have cracks. inevitability is a story we tell ourselves, and SCP-9000 is the reminder that the story will always slip.
**Hook/Attention-Grabber (Optional):** the most unique part of SCP-9000 is that it isn’t just chance manipulation or luck-bending - it’s the systematic refusal of inevitability itself. not randomness, not chaos, but the rare moment where the guaranteed outcome - the thing probability says is 100% certain - fails.

Note: original pre-trimmed thread description was:
anomalous entity edwin cross (a decayed wwii veteran) endlessly repeats his life inside his home and garden, haunted by shadow creatures, bound to the spirit of his late wife dorothy cross (who manifests through a scarecrow and candle-lit rooms). beneath the house is a vast labyrinthine basement. five doors marked with cult members’ effigies (edwin, fatherraven, cadafer, ferriah, fazade) lead to statues that require specific codes to “light up.” only two codes are known. at the maze’s end stands a massive sealed door, said to hide something incomprehensible. the cult, led by the elusive aurelis, is linked to the house. aurelis himself appeared once in the final chamber, declaring the secret beyond the door was dangerous but must be placed under his control, seeking assistance to unlock it. the foundation contains the site, documenting cross’s behaviors, the shadow phenomena, dorothy’s apparitions, and the cult’s unfinished ritual.
Seeking Greenlights: Yes
Page Type: SCP Article
Genre (Optional): Occult Horror, Paranormal Mystery
Elevator Pitch: Edwin Cross is a decayed wwii veteran bound to his home, where his ghostly wife, shadow-born creatures, and a cult led by the elusive Aurelis converge around a sealed door in the basement said to hide something beyond human comprehension.
Central Narrative: A traumatized war veteran is trapped in an endless loop inside his home, haunted by memories of his dead wife and guided by a cult he once swore to. Beneath his house lies a maze-like basement, where doors to his fellow cultists stand sealed behind forgotten codes. Only three have ever been unlocked, two currently unlockable, their statues glowing faintly in the dark. The true leader, aurelis, claims the final door hides something beyond human comprehension - something he alone should control.
Hook/Attention-Grabber (Optional): A deceased wife who Edwin still constantly talks to, who he believes is still alive and whose soul roams the residence still.

[[include component:image-block | name= | caption=SCP-7064, "The Abyss" outside of its containment cell. | width=WIDTH-GOES-HERE]]
**Item #:** SCP-7064
**Object Class:** Euclid (indicate which class)
**Special Containment Procedures:** SCP-7064 is to be kept in a cell made of solid gallium at any temperatures below 29.76ºC. When D-Class, and D-Class only, are to enter its cell, no more than one may be sent in at a time, but the door is not to be relocked behind them. This is because although SCP-7064 has the class of Euclid, it is a passive-aggressive entity that only will attack (lethally) when provoked.
**Description:** SCP-7064, "The Abyss" is a black void of unknown shape. Entering this void will not cause any harm unless the entity is provoked. When the SCP is passive, entering will coat you in a harmless black oily substance, but when provoked, entering the SCP will kill you instantly.
The SCP was found in the basement of a cult building in the year 19██, and was moved to Site-██ a day after discovery. Initial tests indicated that locking the door of the SCP's containment cell provokes the entity and causes it to stretch out black oily appendages towards the person who aggravated the entity. After the aggravator is terminated, the SCP will take back all appendages and enter a passive state again.
**NOTE:** SCP-7064's image is not visible due to it also aggravating the entity.
**Addendum:** All tests on SCP-7064 are to be ceased for eternity, due to the entity suddenly demonstrating the ability to get aggravated unpredictably, and killing anyone in sight. Another reason is because of the events in Incident-7064-ABYSS. The file for this incident is to be deleted as it provokes the SCP, and viewing of the file could cause an XK-Class End-of-the-World scenario if shared or shown to more than one person, as the file specifically for Incident-7064-ABYSS is the only thing that causes the SCP to kill the aggravator AND everybody in a 500 meter radius of the person it terminates. This can cause a chain reaction to drastically reduce the human population.
Any personnel found interacting with or conducting tests on SCP-7064 is to be terminated and anyone involved is to be given amnestics immediately.
**IMPORTANT**: In case of the initiation of a XK-Class End-of-the-World scenario due to SCP-7064, any slightly altered version of SCP-033's equation, to be referred to as SCP-033-RC is to be displayed to it, which has a 94.3% chance of pacifying the SCP and undoing all damage except for to the ones terminated. Despite of this instruction, SCP-033-RC is not to be classified as Thaumiel, and should not be considered an SCP on its own.
**ALERT**: It appears SCP-7064 has breached its gallium cube, although gallium is the only substance it cannot do anything to, and is spreading widely through a small town in ████████. All MTF are to be sent to recontain the SCP, and SCP-033-RC is to be brought, secured in a glass container similar to that of SCP-035. No other personnel apart from MTF are to be sent, except for one member of the O5 council, in a secure area, preferably at a height of 2000 feet above the terrain or more.

**Item #:** SCP-8527
**Object Class:** Euclid
**Special Containment Procedures:**
SCP-8527 is currently willingly contained within the structure identified as the “Cross Residence.” A 200 meter exclusion perimeter is maintained around the property under the guise of “structural instability”. Foundation agents present on-site are to monitor external anomalies, particularly activity within the adjacent field.
Access to the basement level of SCP-8527 is prohibited except under the O5 command’s authorization. Candles found within the basement are to remain lit at all times; automated ignition systems have been installed following repeated manifestations of █████████████████████ during power loss events.
**Description:** SCP-8527 refers to Edwin Cross, a deceased World War II veteran who continues to reside within his former residence. SCP-8527 displays advanced necrotic features yet demonstrates (albeit limited) mobility and speech. Subject appears trapped in a temporal recursion, repeating a regular daily routine unless meeting another person.
SCP-8527 persistently appears to communicate with a presence identified as “Dorothy Cross” (SCP-8527’s deceased spouse, hereby referred to as SCP-8527-1). SCP-8527-1 manifests in two primary forms:
SCP-8527-1-A: a scarecrow located in the field opposite the residence. At irregular intervals, the scarecrow emits a visible luminescence. When unlit, SCP-8527-1 is reported by SCP-8527 to be moving within the residence.
SCP-8527-1-B: skeletal remains located in a basement chamber, stored across multiple open drawers. SCP-8527 converses with these remains as though they were animate.
The basement of SCP-8527 consists of a labyrinthine structure of fixed corridors containing multiple chambers. Notable features include:
Candle rooms: areas containing dozens of candles. When extinguished, hostile entities with luminous eyes manifest. Entities withdraw immediately once candles are relit.
Five anomalous doors: located at dead-ends within the labyrinth. Each door bears a carved human head, representing members of a group designated ██████████.
Each door requires a verbal code for access.
Carvings and codes are as follows:
Edwin Cross (sorrow)
FatherRaven (love)
Cadafer (anger)
Califer (fear)
Fazade (wisdom)
Beyond each door is a shrine chamber containing a statue of the respective member. Statues remain inert unless activated by a secondary verbal code. When activated, the statue emits illumination. Only two codes are confirmed:
Edwin Cross: “Darkness Incarnate”
Fatherraven: “A Darkness in the Light”
At the terminus of the labyrinth lies a massive sealed door. SCP-8527 refers to this as “the master’s gate.” Current evidence suggests the door may require all five statues to be simultaneously activated for entry. To date, only two have been successfully illuminated.
**Addendum 8527-1:**
On ██-██-20██, remote surveillance of the labyrinth recorded the only known manifestation of “Aurelis”, the leader of ██████████. Entity appeared in the final chamber before the sealed door, engaged in conversation with an unidentified figure. Transcription is partial:
> **Aurelis:** “It’s far dangerous, more dangerous than you could ever imagine. And I need to get into it. All for one reason, and one reason alone. But I’m not going to tell you quite yet. I’m not one to spoil. But you should know… (Aurelis pauses, and the sound of shifting is heard) that it’s best in my hands alone. I need your help, just as much as anyone else.”
Following this event, no further appearances of Aurelis have been observed.
**Addendum 8527-2:**
Research into the remaining three codes is ongoing. Personnel are reminded that attempts at forced entry into the final chamber are prohibited until further understanding of the structure is achieved.
