Item #: SCP-8352
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-8352 is to be stored in a secure containment locker at Site-17’s Anomalous Technology Wing. Access is limited to Level 3 personnel and above with written approval from two (2) Senior Researchers. Testing must be conducted in a specialized chamber equipped with reinforced surfaces and spatial distortion dampeners.
Under no circumstances is SCP-8352 to be used for unauthorized transportation, bypassing security, or experimentation involving other SCPs.
Description:
SCP-8352 is a handheld device of unknown origin resembling a futuristic weapon, approximately 0.8 meters in length and weighing 4.5 kg. Its main body is composed of advanced, non-terrestrial alloys, and includes an energy core that emits a low-frequency hum when activated.
When the device’s primary and secondary triggers are engaged, SCP-8352 projects two distinct circular portals — designated Portal A (orange) and Portal B (blue) — onto any sufficiently flat, opaque, non-reflective surface. These portals become spatially linked, allowing any object or individual to pass through one and exit the other instantaneously, regardless of distance or obstructions between the two.
Portals are:
Stable for up to 4 hours unless deactivated manually.
Unable to form on living tissue, glass, or liquids.
Affected by line-of-sight and angle of surface impact.
Addendum 8352-1: Acquisition Log
SCP-8352 was recovered in [REDACTED], Oregon after reports of "impossible doorways" appearing in abandoned buildings. Embedded Foundation agents located the object in a makeshift laboratory containing blueprints resembling those of theoretical quantum tunneling devices.
Addendum 8352-2: Testing Highlights
Test 12-A: D-Class personnel transported a crate through Portal A and retrieved it from Portal B. Crate showed no sign of temporal or physical distortion.
Test 14-F: Subject attempted to "loop" by placing Portal B above Portal A and jumping in. Subject experienced severe vertigo but remained unharmed.
Test 21-B: Use of SCP-8352 to bypass containment doorways is now strictly prohibited after the near-escape of SCP-[REDACTED].
Notes:
SCP-8352 demonstrates no signs of intelligence or consciousness but appears to respond more efficiently when handled by individuals with prior engineering or physics experience. Investigation is ongoing to determine if SCP-8352 is a singular object or part of a larger technological system
