SCP-[cannot be classified] is to be contained in a reinforced underground isolation chamber at Site-██, equipped with motion sensors, thermal cameras, and automated lighting systems. Under no circumstances should personnel enter SCP-[cannot be classified]'s chamber when the lights are off.
SCP-[cannot be classified] is invisible in direct light and only becomes partially visible in complete darkness, where its smile and vague outline may appear to observers. It is drawn to individuals who are alone in the dark, particularly those experiencing fear or anxiety.
No mirrors, reflective surfaces, or unsecured lighting are permitted within 30 meters of the chamber.

When an individual perceives SCP-[cannot be classified]'s smile, they become immobilized, often reporting a feeling of being "seen" or "invited." Within 10 to 15 seconds of eye contact, SCP-[cannot be classified] will violently appear beside the subject and remove them from the area. Victims are never found. Security footage always fails during the final moments, usually replaced with static or corrupted data.

SCP-[cannot be classified] was discovered in ███████, a small town in Malaysia, following a series of disappearances during winter blackouts. Survivors reported "a mouth smiling in the dark, floating, waiting." A recovery team dispatched to the area lost three members before managing to lure the entity into a transport chamber using sound, darkness.
