**Special Containment Procedures:**
Due to the nature of SCP-8266's anomalous capabilities, containment has been deemed infeasible. However, Foundation web-crawlers are to delete and report any posts possibly pertaining to SCP-8266.
Personnel of all clearance levels suspecting they are under SCP-8266 influence may request both physical and psychological evaluation - however they are not to be relinquished of their duties.
Civilians suspected to be under SCP-8266 influence are to be promptly amnesticized. The SCP-Foundation is not to intervene with any events linked to exposure with SCP-8266; as they are non-anomalous in nature.
**Description:**
SCP-8266 is the collective designation given to the unexplained manifestation of a multitude of avian creatures [[footnote]] SCP-8266 shows no preference of what species of bird it manifests as - however they are always a species local to the area of manifestation. [[/footnote]], which will begin swarming the nearest individual for a duration of five minutes; before de-manifesting.
SCP-8266 will seemingly invade the subconscious of SCP-8266-X during this time, through a process similar to standard telepathy. Upon implanting itself into SCP-8266-X's consciousness, SCP-8266 will warn SCP-8266-X of an imminent, unavoidable event of varying consequence.[[footnote]] SCP-8266-X's are unaware what this event will be, only that something negative will happen to them. [[/footnote]] (See addenda). It is currently unknown whether SCP-8266 is capable of inducing these events itself, or simply predicting them.
SCP-8266-X instances are prone to undergo a multitude of psychological changes, primarily relating to anxiety, paranoia, and feelings of isolation for elongated periods of time following initial exposure to SCP-8266. It is unknown whether SCP-8266 induces these effects, or if they are merely the body's natural response.
Apart from SCP-8266’s previously mentioned anomalous abilities, SCP-8266 instances are identical to non-anomalous corvids; the only notable exception to this is that SCP-8266 instances are intangible during the period of time in which they are physically anchored to our plane of existence.

**Addendum 8266.1**
Anecdotal evidence dating back 400 years has led to an estimated 400,000 individuals being by SCP-8266; only 1 of which was employed to the SCP-Foundation. Attached are select examples of varying severity.
> **Subject:** William Hemathy (1783)
>
> **Background:**
>
> **Suspected 8266-Event:** Infertile Land for the remainder of his life.
> **Subject:** Alexander Chase (1971)
>
> **Background:**
>
> **Suspected 8266-Event:** Three weeks after suspected exposure to SCP-8266; Alexander's childhood parrot died.
> **Subject:** Philip Jeb (1987)
>
> **Background:**
>
> **Suspected 8266-Event:** SCP-8266 manifested as Philip was entering the cinema to see Jaws 3. Philip did not exhibit any symptoms exhibited by SCP-8166-X instances when he exited the theatre, and such it is believed SCP-8266 was warning him about the films quality.
> **Subject:** Jonathan Sajad (2005)
>
> **Background:**
>
> **Suspected 8266-Event:** Spontaneous Combustion. Security footage shows SCP-8266 manifest approximately one frame prior - as Jonathan lights a cigarette.
> **Subject:** Michelle Jacobs (2011)
>
> **Background:**
>
> **Suspected 8266-Event:** 13 years following SCP-8266 exposure, Michelle was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer.
> **Subject:** Amelia Cortez (2021)
>
> **Background:**
>
> **Suspected 8266-Event:** A minor car accident the day of exposure; in which Amelia broke her right wrist.
------
The aforementioned personnel affected by SCP-8266 was Field Agent Lenore Black; an investigator sent to report on low priority anomalous locations that have been recently discovered and or placed into Foundation jurisdiction. Attached are all documents relating to Agent Black's experiences whilst under SCP-8266 influence.
