Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid (Operational Thaumiel)
Special Containment Procedures: Foundation personnel are prohibited from interacting with SCP-XXXX’s internal systems beyond Substructural Layer 2. All access to SCP-XXXX for maintenance or repair is to be conducted solely by civilian contractors selected for licensing compatibility across all regions and dimensions in which SCP-XXXX manifests.
All workers must be certified in at least:
Electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural maintenance
All 50 U.S. states
Any Foundation-controlled international sectors affected by SCP-XXXX
One known anomalous jurisdiction (Clausefield-A or equivalent)
Maintenance crews are fully reimbursed for all non-anomalous materials used in repairs via anomalous drop deliveries. These materials (gold, titanium, carbon nanoweave, weapons-grade plutonium) appear within 48 hours of task completion and match the median Earth-market value of submitted receipts.
Under no circumstances are Foundation personnel to interfere with contractor operations, attempt direct communication with The Management, or attempt to reassign, replace, or relicense the current maintenance crews. Invoices must be paid in full and on time.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a transdimensional, non-Euclidean substructure accessible through utility tunnels, maintenance closets, and sub-basements in over 20 Foundation sites, including Sites 19, 25, 64, ■■, ■■, ■■. Although the SCP's architecture appears mundane in early layers (basic wiring, piping, ventilation), traversal into deeper levels reveals increasingly anomalous features: organic conduits, recursive geometry, meat-ducts with electrical current, break rooms that supply unknown food labeled "For Crew Use Only," and planetary-scale reactor chambers.
Despite architectural impossibility, SCP-XXXX is spatially stable and fully mappable. It is responsible for providing electricity, water heating, steam, and emergency life support to critical Foundation facilities worldwide, often bypassing the sites' formal infrastructure through non-Euclidean means.
The anomaly appears to be maintained through a distributed, network of maintenance workers, equipment tags, and systems that generate repair tickets, fines, and violations.

Discovery Timeline:
Phase 1: Discovery
During 199█ retrofits at Site-25, Foundation electricians uncovered previously unmapped maintenance corridors and encountered a fully functioning crew (designated SCP-XXXX-B).
SCP-XXXX-B claimed to be on active contract and requested severance when removed. Their credentials were anomalously valid. When removed from the site, they began sending formal complaints and severance requests to the Foundation. SCP-XXXX-B were contained in humanoid containment in site 25. After extensive testing SCP-XXXX-B were re-classified as non-anomalous humans. They were anestitised and returned to the general population.
Phase 2: First Infiltration
Mobile Task Force "Voltage Sinkers" was deployed to explore and test systems.
Several agents died upon activating buttons and switches. One operative fired on a humanoid maintenance entity; within 72 hours, he received a legal summons and disappeared.
The agent reappeared 20 years later, having aged only six months. He reported being tried in an extradimensional court and jailed in a "maintenance-based correctional environment."
Phase 3: Violations and Fines
Unauthorized tampering triggered cascading failures across multiple Foundation sites.
SCP-XXXX began tagging its own equipment with violation notices.
Foundation staff received personal bills. Upon non-payment, staff wages were garnished by Redacted LLC, with a link to a website claming it is a nonphysical entity with jurisdictional authority in multiple realities.
Phase 4: Rusty Wrenches
MTF-25 "Rusty Wrenches" formed to perform controlled fixes. Infrastructure stabilized.
O5 Council received a fine from The Management for "Hiring unlicensed contractors."
Phase 5: Compliance and Integration
The Foundation complied. Licensed maintenance crews were assembled, trained, and certified across all native operational sites.
Current procedures maintain peaceful coexistence. Equipment remains functional. Invoices continue to arrive.

Contractor Reports (Excerpt):
"Sector 12B smells like ozone and chewing gum. Installed new switch. Got a box of iridium the next day."
"Guy from GOC passed me in the hall. Gave a nod. Didn’t speak. His boots didn’t touch the ground."
"Fixed a backflow issue and found a sticky note that said: 'Thanks. We’ll take it from here.' It was written in six languages at once."
---
O5 Addendum:
> "We don’t control this place. We never did. We tried. We got people killed. We got sued. Now the lights stay on, the vents stay quiet, and the bills get paid. That’s containment enough."
Current Status:
Fully operational.
Civilian crews active.
Zero containment breaches since compliance.

Note: Personnel are reminded that the presence of SCP-XXXX within Foundation sites is not a breach or invasion. It is a utility. You do not own it. You do not fix it. You respect the job site.
