**Special Containment Procedures:** SCP-7341 is to be kept in a secure observation chamber at Site-88, isolated from all administrative or breakroom-adjacent areas. All interactions with SCP-7341 must be authorized in writing by at least one Level 3 personnel. Samples are to be extracted via remote mechanical interface and stored in triple-sealed glass containers under refrigeration for biochemical analysis. All containers must be labeled with the date, volume, and a chemical profile. Disposal of dispensed liquid requires incineration.

**Description:** SCP-7341 is a freestanding beverage dispenser superficially resembling a mid-20th century retro-style drip coffee machine, with powder-blue enamel casing, chrome accents, and the label "Quality Coffee" embossed on the front. The unit stands approximately 0.5 meters tall and 0.3 meters wide, consistent with common consumer-grade countertop appliances. It bears no external manufacturer markings beyond the aesthetic branding.

Internally, SCP-7341 contains compartments for water, coffee beans, and a filtration system, though these components are not functionally connected to its liquid output. Despite repeated use, the internal resource compartments of SCP-7341 do not experience any measurable depletion. However, visual inspection through transparent panels simulates gradual exhaustion of beans and water. Removal of materials from these compartments is only partially successful - attempts to extract beans or water beyond a small threshold are met with physical resistance, as the remaining materials become rigid and immobile, exhibiting mechanical properties comparable to cured concrete.

The liquid produced by SCP-7341 (hereafter SCP-7341-1) is indistinguishable in appearance, taste, and aroma from standard black coffee. Chemical analysis reveals an anomalously adaptive composition: SCP-7341-1 contains not only caffeine but traces of essential amino acids, vitamins, and caloric content sufficient to sustain basic human metabolic needs. However, it also contains psychoactive compounds with properties similar to addictive stimulants and cognitohazards.

When ingested, SCP-7341-1 initiates a compulsive dependency in human subjects within 5–10 minutes. Subjects report feelings of enhanced cognition, euphoria, and an overwhelming desire to share SCP-7341-1 with others. Subjects often remain in denial regarding their condition and may attempt to deflect or downplay observable symptoms. Repeated confrontation regarding consumption patterns typically results in escalating hostility.

Exposure to SCP-7341-1 via olfactory means alone (i.e., smelling the coffee) has been observed to induce mild dependency symptoms in some individuals. In such cases, subjects experience Stage 1 effects only and do not progress beyond that phase. These symptoms tend to resolve naturally within approximately 15 hours. Nonetheless, affected individuals may demonstrate preoccupation with SCP-7341 and attempt to remain near it.

Withdrawal symptoms begin within 30 minutes of the last ingestion and escalate through the following stages:

* **Stage 1 (30–45 minutes):** Subject exhibits anxiety, verbal compulsion to return to SCP-7341, minor tremors. If provided with a single cup of SCP-7341-1, the subject returns to baseline behavior.
* **Stage 2 (45–60 minutes):** Development of obsessive behaviors, hallucinations, and disassociation from surroundings. Multiple cups of SCP-7341-1 can still reverse symptoms at this stage.
* **Stage 3 (60–85 minutes):** Progression into self-destructive behavior including skin laceration, hair pulling, and attempted ingestion of non-potable fluids. Subjects at this stage are not responsive to SCP-7341-1 and are no longer considered salvageable. However, they are not aggressive toward others.
* **Stage 4 (85–120 minutes):** Onset of extreme mutilation behaviors including ocular and dental self-extraction. Subjects may attempt to attack and bite others. If SCP-7341-1 is still present in their oral cavity (even post-ingestion), bites can transfer a mild cognitohazard resulting in Stage 1 symptoms in the affected individual. Most subjects expire from blood loss or shock.

Subjects deprived of SCP-7341-1 universally perish within 2 hours of initial exposure unless provided with an adequate dose during Stage 1 or 2.

**Discovery:** SCP-7341 was discovered on ██/██/20██ at Site-██, following the facility-wide installation of updated beverage dispensers in administrative hallways. Dr. M, recently returning for duty, observed two administrative staff members repeatedly using the same machine over a 30-minute period.

When questioned, both individuals insisted on the exceptional quality of the coffee, urging Dr. M to sample it. Technician Baines claimed to have consumed "170 cups," a statement initially perceived as humorous exaggeration. However, later analysis suggested the number may not have been entirely implausible given SCP-7341-1's compulsive properties and altered time perception. I wrote the entire piece myself and had a friend review it to catch any mistakes.

Edit: The story was actually inspired by gameplay. A lot of players were afking at the coffee machines and repeatedly drinking from them. I thought it might be fun to turn that behavior into an SCP concept.

1) I wrote my articles using Notepad and did not use any AI tools in the process. Before submitting, I shared one article with a friend for proofreading and feedback.

2) The formatting is my own, and I usually use a similar style both on and off the SCP Wiki including in Discord and other writing. I did not intentionally model my article after any existing SCP entry.

3) There are no screenshots or saved drafts from my writing process, as I review and edit my text in a single session and do not keep multiple versions.

4) I was not aware that my formatting is considered to be associated with AI-generated writing. This is simply my preferred writing style which I have used since high school.

To address your questions: I was informed by the Wiki support team that I am not obligated to use the Wiki’s guide, unless there has been some misunderstanding.

Most of my school writing is unavailable to me, as I left school [number removed] years ago and no longer have access to those materials. All of the documents from that time were written electronically. However, I can present other pieces of writing I have done. I should also clarify that “in Discord and other writing” does not exclude content such as announcements, voting posts, and similar material created within servers that I own or manage.

Finally, I must apologise for not using the standard publishing method when submitting my articles. At the time, I was in a difficult place mentally, which affected the way the articles were written and submitted.

As noted before, staff would need to see screenshots of in-progress writing for the page you submitted, including prior versions. Other documents unrelated to the writing process of your submitted work would not be weighed much in terms of consideration for this case.

As noted before, the text format your article used is rather common in AI-generated works, and not as such in mainsite works. This is based on comparison between existing pages on the SCP wiki, and the several hundred cases of AI-generation compiled by staff over the past three years.

As an aside, it was noted to me that you changed your Wikidot profile information to include the text, "SCP Writer Removed from the Foundation due to misinterpretation."

If memory serves, the membership revocation notice you were sent indicated that you could re-apply for membership after 24 hours passed since the revocation occurred. No ban from the site was issued.

Of note, the user uses UK spellings in their PM to me, and US spelling in the submitted draft suspected of AI usage.

Also, your material was presented in SCP article format (Item #, Object Class, Containment Procedures, etc.) and there was no clear indication that it was meant to be treated as a tale. You even took an unused slot from the SCP Series listing for the page, something that tales don't do.

I must inform you that the actual writing was revised by a friend of mine with whom I am no longer in contact due to a mutual dispute. The reason I switch between US and UK writing is that I originally attended an Austrian school where we learned UK grammar, and later switched to an American school for three years, where we mostly used US grammar. This is why I sometimes unconsciously alternate between the two. The article was not meant to be written as a tale, and as mentioned before, I had not fully read the email at the time since I was in a particular mental state where I had difficulties.

Would it be possible for me to create a screen recording that includes not only my screen but also a facecam and a third camera showing my hands on the keyboard as well as my monitor? This way I would be able to clearly demonstrate that I am not using artificial intelligence to write my articles and that I have been fully honest in my previous statements.
