Noting that new site member
bigfutara (account age 10 days, site membership 1 day) recently posted the following concept thread, which has multiple indicators of AI-generation across different iterations: https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-17156249/seeking-greenlights-scp-8515-the-stone-warden
Idea pitch - scp-XXXX "The Stone Warden" 17 Jun 2025, 09:42
Hello everyone,
SCP-XXXX is a massive, ancient basalt dome inscribed with mysterious geometric glyphs, located in a remote forested area. Around it theres a “dead zone” where no animals or insects live. When physically attacked (such as drilling or explosives), SCP-XXXX rapidly transforms into a towering humanoid golem composed of the same basalt material. This entity, SCP-XXXX-A, seeks out and violently destroys the source of the aggression before returning to dormancy.
The SCP is linked to local indigenous legends about a protective earth spirit or guardian that punishes those who defile sacred land.
What I’m looking for:
Feedback on the originality and potential of the concept.
Whether this premise fits SCP’s tone and style.
Any suggestions for improving the idea or adding interesting layers.
Greenlight approval to proceed with a full draft.
Thank you for your time!

I already have an almost complete draft prepared in sandbox format. I'd love to get some early thoughts on whether the concept feels original enough for the SCP universe. I’m hoping to get greenlighted so I can move to the Drafts and Critique section. Any feedback is appreciated!
Thank you for your time!

Of note, the user has a sandbox with obvious AI content: http://scp-sandbox-3.wikidot.com/bigfutara-scp-8515-the-stone-warden page title "Bigfutara scp 8515 The stone warden" full draft in revision 0, one edit to add the ending ominous quote

**Item #:** SCP-8515
**Object Class:** Euclid
---
**Special Containment Procedures:**
SCP-8515 is to remain undisturbed at its current location near ███████, Washington, within the center of a 1.5 km exclusion zone designated Provisional Site-96. This zone is to be enclosed with a 4-meter electrified perimeter fence and regularly patrolled by armed security personnel. No excavation, construction, or direct interaction with SCP-8515 is permitted without Level 4 authorization.
All aerial or satellite imaging of the region is to be monitored and scrubbed for anomalous interference. Due to the complete absence of fauna within the 1.5 km radius surrounding SCP-8515, the area is to be designated a protected ecological “dead zone” to reduce civilian interest.
Experiments involving SCP-8515 have been suspended following Incident 8515-B. Any further testing must receive O5-level clearance and be conducted from remote, blast-resistant outposts using automated systems.
Local indigenous groups must be monitored for cultural knowledge or mythological references to SCP-8515. Any recovered oral histories or symbology associated with SCP-8515 are to be catalogued and forwarded to Site-██’s Department of Anomalous Anthropology.
---
**Description:**
SCP-8515 is a massive dome-shaped stone formation approximately 15 meters in height and 25 meters in diameter, composed of an ultra-dense basaltic material not found elsewhere on Earth. It is located in a heavily forested region of ███████, Washington, and is situated at the center of a 1.5 km radius devoid of all detectable animal, insect, and avian life. Vegetation within this radius displays stunted growth and increased cellular degradation.
SCP-8515 is inscribed with a network of complex geometric symbols and sigils, none of which correspond to any known language or system of writing. The carvings are anomalously resistant to erosion and appear to shift subtly between viewings, though structural scans confirm that their physical arrangement does not change. Attempts to translate or decode the inscriptions — including via linguistic AI, memetic mapping, and thaumaturgic analysis — have all failed.
SCP-8515 remains inert unless subjected to direct physical aggression (e.g., cutting, excavation attempts, explosives, or high-caliber projectile impacts). Upon activation, SCP-8515 rapidly undergoes structural metamorphosis over a 12–16 second period, converting into a humanoid entity approximately 35 meters in height. This entity, designated SCP-8515-A, is composed of the same basalt-like material and demonstrates considerable physical strength, mobility, and durability.
SCP-8515-A will seek out and destroy the source of damage inflicted on SCP-8515. It will ignore unrelated personnel and structures unless obstructed. Once SCP-8515-A has neutralized its target, or after sustaining significant damage, it will return to its original location and revert to its dormant form. The reversion process is instantaneous, and the resulting structure appears physically identical to SCP-8515's pre-activation state.
SCP-8515-A is highly resistant to ballistic weaponry. Only concentrated explosive force and sustained high-caliber fire have proven effective in halting or destabilizing the entity. No known method has succeeded in permanently disabling SCP-8515 or preventing future activations.
Local oral traditions from indigenous populations in the area speak of a "Stone Warden" or "Earth-Heart Giant" that protected sacred ground and punished those who defiled it. These legends describe a great spirit that "slept in the land and rose when wounded." Whether these accounts reflect knowledge of SCP-8515 or unrelated mythology remains inconclusive.

**Date:** ██/██/20██
**Location:** Provisional Site-96, ███████, Washington
**Involved Personnel:**
- Dr. Olivia Kensler (Lead Researcher, Geoanomalies Division)
- MTF Zeta-9 “Mole Rats”
- Site-96 Security Team Alpha
- Remote Drone Unit AX-11
---
**Summary:**
On ██/██/20██, Foundation geotechnical team Zeta-9 was authorized to conduct controlled subsurface drilling on the eastern base of SCP-8515. The objective was to extract a core sample for material analysis. Drilling commenced at 08:42 local time using a Foundation-modified resonant impact drill, operated remotely from Bunker AX-11, 500 meters outside the exclusion zone.
At 08:45, after approximately 3.6 seconds of contact with the surface, SCP-8515 emitted a deep resonant vibration. Localized ground tremors were recorded (magnitude 2.4). Wildlife monitoring systems ceased transmission. 14 seconds later, seismic activity abruptly spiked.
At 08:46, SCP-8515 began undergoing structural metamorphosis. Security drones recorded visible shifts in surface geometry and the emergence of appendage-like formations. Full transformation into SCP-8515-A completed at 08:47.
---
**08:47 — Initial Hostility:**
SCP-8515-A stood motionless for 6.2 seconds before orienting toward the drilling platform. The entity advanced rapidly, covering 500 meters in approximately 22 seconds. All terrain was destroyed in its path, including vegetation, soil, and embedded rock.
At 08:48, Site-96 Security Team Alpha engaged SCP-8515-A using mounted .50 caliber emplacements and AT4 anti-tank weaponry. No observable damage. SCP-8515-A ignored suppressive fire and proceeded to destroy the drill unit with a single downward strike, generating a shockwave that damaged Bunker AX-11. Two personnel were killed by debris; one MTF agent was fatally wounded while retreating.
---
**08:55 — Reversion:**
SCP-8515-A returned to its original position and instantaneously reverted to its dormant form. The resulting structure appeared unchanged, except for the presence of three new glyphs etched into the surface. These symbols appeared scorched into the rock and continue to resist analysis.
---
**Casualties:**
- 3 Foundation personnel KIA
- 5 injured (2 critical)
- AX-11 drone unit and core sampling rig destroyed
- Exclusion zone expanded by 500 meters
---
**Notes:**
> "We assumed it was just protective of its own surface. We underestimated how quickly and violently it would respond. This wasn't a defense mechanism — it was an execution."
