**Item #:** SCP-9334
**Object Class:** Keter
**Special Containment Procedures**
SCP-9334 is contained within a reinforced human containment cell (5m x 5m x 5m) at Site-██. It is occupied at all times by at least one living Class-D subject (SCP-9334-2, or otherwise known as the “host”.) SCP-9334 must remain in direct skin contact with SCP-9334-2 to prevent potential breach or injury. The host is to be medically sustained and psychologically monitored. The monthly rotation of host subjects is permitted with no more than 60 seconds of transfer downtime.
On the occasion of the host’s death or the separation from SCP-9334, an immediate replacement //MUST// be introduced within **3 seconds** to prevent unintended acceleration towards any target. If containment fails, site lockdown protocols will be engaged.
------
**Description:**
SCP-9334 is a 1-inch diameter (2.54 cm) solid sphere composed of an unidentified non-atomic material. Spectral and microscopic studies show no evidence of atoms, quarks, or other substructures. At every scale, SCP-9334 exists as a perfect Euclidean sphere. It maintains spherical curvatures even beyond Planck-level observation. SCP-9334 does not radiate heat (even after high energy impacts), does not reflect light anomalously, and does not display any signs of measurable mass (despite exerting force upon contact.)
When in proximity to any living human, SCP-9334 will “lock on” to the closest target and begin to move towards them in a direct path, regardless of any obstacles. Its ability to identify the location of every living human is anomalous.
**Detection Range:** Infinite
**Initial Speed:** 1 inch traveled per second. (1 in/s)
**Acceleration:** Multiplies velocity by π (3.14159…) //every second.//
**//Example Acceleration (approximate)//**
* t = 1 sec -> ~3.14 in/s
* t = 2 sec -> ~9.87 in/s
* t = 3 sec -> ~30.96 in/s
* t = 10 sec -> ~93,174 in/s (approx 7 Mach)
At any speed, SCP-9334 can penetrate reinforced concrete, tungsten, ballistic gel, and high steel alloys. No known material has been discovered to stop the SCP during motion, or even slow it down. Impact with a human (at sufficient speeds) often results in instantaneous death by obliteration, liquefaction, or complete trauma depending on time since lock-on and travel distance.
SCP-9334 has not been known to bounce or deflect, simply proceeding through any material in between it and its target.
**Splitting Behavior:**
If two or more humans are within **1 inch** (the SCP’s diameter) of equal distance from SCP-9334, it will instantaneously split into identical fragments, each fragment pursuing their corresponding targets at the same speed. If the humans all die, then the fragments of SCP-9334 will separate from their eliminated hosts and recombine either mid-flight or on impact of the next target. All fragments remain compositionally identical, and recombination is seamless no matter the circumstances.
**Lethality and Targeting:**
SCP-9334 continues its pursuit behavior until it makes //direct contact// with living human flesh. Impact energy can be lethal depending on the duration of the SCP’s acceleration. Upon contact, it attaches to the body’s surface and remains stationary unless the host dies. Efforts to remove the SCP from the host’s flesh have proven ineffective, unless another living host is making contact with the SCP with more surface area of their flesh.
If the host dies by any cause, (usually by impact of the sphere) SCP-9334 will //immediately// select and pursue the **next-closest human,** repeating the acceleration process from the starting speed of 1 in/s. In environments with multiple humans, consecutive deaths have been recorded until the SCP slows down enough to **not kill** the target.

**Addendum 9334.1 - Discovery Log**
SCP-9334 was discovered in a sealed lead cylinder within a partially collapsed subterranean chamber beneath the Gobi Desert, near █████████, Mongolia. The cylinder contained a mummified human corpse (SCP-9334-1), speculated to have been in a state in between living and dead. Upon observation, the corpse’s anomalous properties deactivated and 3 site members were killed and one injured. SCP-9334-1 is currently being held at an offhand storage facility and is considered defunct and completely safe. Inscriptions were discovered on the walls of the partially collapsed chamber depicting a “wandering eye” that could “pierce even the gods.”
**Addendum 9334.2 - Experiment Logs**
**Test 04** ———————
//Setup:// Subject placed 100 meters from SCP-9334.
//Result:// SCP reached remarkable speeds and instantly bisected the subject. The SCP then returned to the standard control group of (13) Class-D members (7 of which were killed) for recontainment.
//Note:// High speed cameras were unable to capture the frame of impact, and the sphere remained clean and unmarked after the test.
**Test 07** ———————
//Setup:// Two subjects were placed exactly 10 meters away from SCP-9334 at opposing angles. //Result:// Sphere instantaneously split into two halves, which both impacted their corresponding targets simultaneously. The two halves reformed mid-air as the sphere hurdled to the standard control group of (13) Class-D members (3 of which were killed) for recontainment.
//Note:// No visible delay of recombining, no seam lines or visual deformities.
**Test 10** ———————
//Setup:// SCP-9334 exposed to plasma torches, antimatter pulses, and atomic disassemblers.
//Result:// No change to mass, structure, or surface integrity. Absorbed all energy with no thermal output.
**Test 19** ———————
//Setup:// Host target launched into geostationary orbit via experimental escape pod at point Nemo (all other living humans had been evacuated out of a dangerous radius.)
//Result:// SCP-9334 exited atmosphere without any loss in momentum and reached the target successfully. Impact velocity estimated at Mach 13.
//Conclusion:// Range assumed to be infinite. No known obstruction will prevent pursuit.
