Description:
SCP-8838, designated “Phaispo” in contemporary Foundation parlance, is an extradimensional entity self-styled as the “God of Evil.” In most mythologies it occupies the role of a fallen archangel and former lieutenant to SCP-343 (hereafter “the God of Creation”). Mythic texts recovered from pre-Sumerian tablets describe Phaispo as a trinitarian counterpart to peace and creation, betrayed by divine siblings and cast into an infernal void by a burning spear through the mouth. Prolonged immolation in that chasm purportedly transformed Phaispo into a conflagration of rage, allowing it to overpower even Lucifer and assume dominion over Hate itself. The other deities’ subsequent attempts to destroy it failed; instead, Phaispo was sealed into the Empty Expanse, from which its influence seeps through cracks in reality.
Individuals already suffering severe psychological fractures in any universe become vectors for the “Phaispo Effect,” exacerbating their instability into full-blown homicidal mania. Though rare in isolated incidents, a full-scale release of SCP-8838 would amplify the Effect globally, potentially culminating in planetary or universal annihilation.
