Thanks for taking the time to give such detailed feedback on my idea. Your point about the "overpowered humanoid" trope was a really good observation, and it's definitely made me rethink things.
Just to clarify a few of the points you brought up:
Benevolence, Not Just "Helpful":
My intention wasn't for SCP-8187 to deliberately want to help the Foundation. It's more about an inherent sense of kindness where it naturally creates positive outcomes and tries to prevent greater harm based on its own (sometimes unusual) moral code. So its actions might not always line up with our ethics, which is something I want to explore.
Motivation for Metals:
I'm considering the idea that it sees the metal setup as a form of worship it accepts (even if the Foundation wouldn't see it that way). It's more about its perspective and how it interacts with our world rather than a practical need for it.
Why Care?:
I'm hoping the intrigue will come from learning about its different kind of morality, the mystery of where it's from and what it is, and the potential problems that come up because of its goodness and its connection to the potentially malevolent "Eliza Glockenspiel." The Foundation trying to study and contain all this will be a big part of the story.
SCP-173:
You're right, I'm probably going to redact the SCP number for now to keep things a bit more vague.
Foundation Containment & SRAs:
After you mentioned it, I looked into Scranton Reality Anchors, and I agree it's something I need to address. I'm thinking its basic two-dimensional nature might make SRAs less effective or even cause unexpected issues.
I'm not sure which anomaly you are referring to when you say, "why would the Foundation not contain this anomaly?" Is it Eliza, the main SCP, or the [REDACTED] SCP? Assuming you mean the [REDACTED] SCP, I guess it does make sense that the anomaly should be contained using an SRA, I just thought it might be a good story element to update his object class to Thaumiel, so it could directly show his benevolence rather than just telling it. But if it makes more sense for the Foundation to use an SRA, that's fine.
Your feedback was super helpful, and I'm focusing on building those areas, especially its unique morality and the dynamic with Eliza.
If you have any other thoughts, please let me know.
Thanks again for the constructive criticism – it's really helping me make the idea better!
P.S. No I did not use AI.

Best way I can describe it is like paper with zero length, but still visible and not penetrable.

Sorry, I meant to reply to the person who asked about his 2D body. I said I did not use AI in the P.S. of my post

I can’t really prove it then. Also, what do you mean by “Zyyyyn…”?

So, did my idea just get rejected or am I supposed to create a new thread with an improvised version? I’m not entirely sure how this works
