Noting that new site member

**Item #:** SCP-8806
**Object Class:** Safe
**Special Containment Procedures:**
SCP-8806 is currently sealed within the Deep Anomalous Organism Storage Vault at Site-73. It is housed inside a passive "Continuous Loop Liquid Containment Unit", designed to maintain ionic fluid within constant thermodynamic condition to ensure the physiological and causal structure of SCP-8806 remains fixed.
No destructive testing is permitted under any circumstances. Interaction experiments require Level 4 approval. Personnel may not remain within a 10-meter radius of CLV-9 for longer than 12 minutes without 72 hours of Class-F Amnesticization processes.
**Description:**
SCP-8806 is the cadaver of a human male, identity unknown, estimated to have been deceased for over 120 years. SCP-8806 is impervious to all conventional forms of damage, including combustion, incision, compression, and high-energy radiation. It exhibits extreme inertness to environmental variables, with its primary anomaly being its interaction with causal logic.
[[collapsible hideLocation="both" show=" Open test log for SCP-8806" hide="- Close"]]
Upon sustaining physical damage, events occurring within a 3 km radius of Site-73 during the previous 24–72 hours will be retroactively rewritten to conform to a causally coherent narrative, seamlessly integrating into records, databases, and human memory.
If SCP-8806 undergoes decay, damage, or displacement, incidents such as "accidents," "operator errors," or "equipment failures" will manifest with supporting documentation and recollection, often preceding the actual event.
It is hypothesized SCP-8806 is the post-mortem remains of a Class-4 reality bender.
Attempts to suppress anomalous behavior using a Mark-IV Reality Anchor array failed. The anchor showed no deviation from normal function, but SCP-8806’s effects continued unabated.
Should SCP-8806 be removed from its containment tank, spontaneous degradation occurs with no external force involved.

**Addendum 8806-A:** Destructive Testing Log
All tests were directed by Dr. Evan Greaves:
Test 01: Hydrofluoric acid injection neutralized into inert water.
Test 02: Cremation chamber failed to ignite; backup systems returned “target non-flammable.”
Test 03: Plasma cutter failed to initiate; backup devices melted down.
Test 04: A 15kt tactical nuclear warhead destroyed the test range. Radiation was abnormally low. SCP-8806 reappeared unharmed in its containment tank. Surveillance showed it never left.
Test 05: Using [DATA EXPUNGED] to extract tissue attempt failed. System self-deleted. Devices no longer recorded in Foundation infrastructure.
Dr. Greaves insisted on verifying the “end condition” of SCP-8806 and was executed for breach of containment protocol. However, he continues to appear in monthly reports and site transfer logs.
**Addendum 8806-B:** Audio Log – D-Class
> “Fuck this job. Fuck this place.”
> “...And then it was fine. The body looked at me and it didn’t matter.”
> “You should trust the protocols. When you decided it was contained, it wasn’t dangerous anymore. Right?”
**Addendum 8806-C:** RAISA File Audit Summary
>All records indicate SCP-8806 was neutralized and expunged years prior.
>Number reallocated.
>No staff recall the entity ever existing.
Final Assessment: Containment sufficient. Threat rationalized. No review needed.
**Addendum 8806-D:** CK-Class Restructuring Incident
SCP-8806’s exposure caused a 72-minute solar system-wide breakdown of physical laws, governed instead by human perception. Effects included:
- Emotionalized celestial mechanics
- Subjective time
- Multiple conflicting historical records
RAISA was unable to resolve the contradictions. Event deemed “resolved.”
**Addendum 8806-E:** Audio Transcript
[[collapsible show="Open the audio transcript " hide="- Close"]]
> "You believed it was dead. But you never confirmed it."
> "When you called it Safe, it became Safe. When you named it, I began."
> "Wrong and right live in your logs. You logged it. So now it is."

My original concept was like this: the "liquid" itself is a kind of anchor. It uses the beliefs of intelligent beings as iron chains to tether the anchor in place. The entire site personnel are essentially like reef rocks caught by the anchor. In this situation, the corpses are like ships in a semi-stranded state, it can't move any more. But at the same time, the people themselves are also stuck, unable to move forward, only able to march in place.
However, I later felt that the idea wasn't particularly terrifying, and the anomaly itself wasn't strong enough to justify having an entire site act as a containment measure. So it ended up turning into this awkward thing.
