Noting that new site member
Archon blue (account age 31 days, site membership 8 days) recently coldposted the following page, which has multiple indicators of AI-generation: https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-7648
#: SCP-7648
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-7648 instances are to be stored in a standard borosilicate glass vial within a locked, climate-controlled storage locker at Site-16. Access is restricted to personnel with Level 2 clearance or higher. Experimentation requires written approval from the current Head Researcher.
Description: SCP-7648 is a translucent, pink, viscous liquid with a consistency similar to honey. Subjects who ingest SCP-7648 report a taste resembling "pink lemonade" and experience no immediate adverse effects.
Following ingestion, the subject will begin to experience excessive perspiration, which manifests as a slow, visible secretion of sentient cellular material. This material coalesces over a period of 1-3 hours to form a female clone of the subject (designated SCP-7648-1). SCP-7648-1 consistently displays the following characteristics:
* Female Clonal Replication: SCP-7648-1 is invariably female, regardless of the original subject's sex. This is hypothesized to be a result of SCP-7648's manipulation of cellular material, specifically the Y chromosome.
* Apparel: SCP-7648-1 will always manifest wearing an oversized hoodie or sweater, regardless of the ambient temperature or the original subject's clothing.
* Somnolence: SCP-7648-1 exhibits extreme drowsiness and will immediately seek a comfortable surface to sleep upon, typically choosing to snuggle against the original subject.
* Liquefaction: Within 5-7 hours of falling asleep, SCP-7648-1 will completely liquefy, reverting to a mass of SCP-7648.
Subjects who awaken after SCP-7648-1's liquefaction display no memory of the clone's existence. They typically attribute the residual liquid to excessive sweating and proceed to "clean" the area by consolidating the liquid into a bundle of fabric (usually blankets) and expelling it onto a neighboring property.
This expelled SCP-7648 will, within 8 hours, induce the rapid growth of a pink sunflower (designated SCP-7648-2) at the point of deposition. SCP-7648-2 displays no anomalous properties beyond its coloration. Upon reaching maturity, SCP-7648-2 will release a swarm of flies from its central disk, in place of typical seeds. These flies will proceed to bite any human within a radius of 10 meters, causing the bitten individual to ingest a small quantity of SCP-7648. This initiates the SCP-7648 replication cycle in the bitten individual.
Addendum 7648-1: Experimentation Log
* Experiment 7648-1A: Subject D-14727 (male) ingested 5ml of SCP-7648. SCP-7648-1 appeared after 2 hours, wearing a large grey hoodie, and immediately fell asleep next to D-14727. Liquefaction occurred 6 hours later. D-14727 reported a "sweaty mess" and disposed of the liquid as described.
* Experiment 7648-1B: Subject Dr. Amelia (female) ingested 5ml of SCP-7648. SCP-7648-1 appeared after 1.5 hours, wearing a large pink sweater, and fell asleep next to Dr. Amelia. Liquefaction occurred 5.5 hours later. Dr. Amelia reported no memory of the clone.
* Experiment 7648-1C: SCP-SCP-7648 was expelled onto the lawn of a neighboring residence. SCP-7648-2 appeared after 7.5 hours. Flies emerged and bit the homeowner, initiating a new cycle.
Addendum 7648-2: Researcher's Notes
"While SCP-7648's replication cycle is concerning, its harmless nature and ease of containment classify it as Safe. The tendency of subjects to dispose of the liquid onto neighboring properties, however, necessitates ongoing monitoring to prevent widespread proliferation. Further research into the mechanism behind the Y-chromosome manipulation is warranted. The Hoodie/sweater phenomenon is also very strange, and seems to be a consistent part of the replication process. Why they are always sleepy is also a mystery. We are currently trying to figure out if the flies that come out of the sunflower are a new SCP, or just a vector for the serum." - Dr. Amelia
