**Item #:** SCP-8905
**Object Class:** Thaumiel/Safe
**Special Containment Procedures:** SCP-8905 is housed in a Class-IV humanoid containment chamber at Site-17, Sublevel Theta. The chamber must be constructed of temporal anchor alloy and lined with matte, non-reflective surface materials. No mirrors, screens, or reflective objects are permitted inside.
All observation must use analog surveillance only. Digital systems malfunction or corrupt near SCP-8905, especially during extended silences or REM cycles.
SCP-8905 must wear its original juvenile prison uniform at all times. Subject refuses any alternate clothing. Replacement uniforms must replicate the original garment precisely.
All personnel must refer to SCP-8905 only as “Jackal.” Communication may only be initiated by Jackal. No one is to ask directly about the being "inside" or its nature.
> **NOTE:** SCP-8905 is not a host. It is the barrier. The entity is not imprisoned — it is entangled. Jackal is the only known force keeping it dormant.
---
**Description:**
SCP-8905 is a human male child, biologically and cognitively frozen at approximately ten (10) years of age. It refers to itself solely as “Jackal.” The anomaly is the result of a metaphysical fusion between the human subject and a noncorporeal, extradimensional entity known only by one title:
**“The One That Heard the No as Yes.”**
This was not possession. The being attempted entry. Jackal refused. The result was a mutual entanglement — not one entity controlling the other, but a forced coexistence. No observed method exists for safely separating the two.
> “I said no. He heard yes. So now I have to keep saying it forever.”
---
**Capabilities:**
- **Localized Temporal Reversion:** Jackal can reverse time in a highly specific field affecting only his own biology. Injuries — including fatal ones — reverse over a span of seconds. Blood loss is undone, wounds reseal, and tissue regenerates. The effect cannot be applied to others or to surroundings.
- **Silent-Class Onset Word – “Massacre”:**
When SCP-8905 whispers the word *“massacre”*, all living organisms within a 10-meter radius die. Causes appear natural: aneurysms, strokes, sudden cardiac arrest. No energy discharge or cognitohazard signature has been detected.
This term is classified as an **Instant Lethal Cognitive Trigger**. It is not to be spoken under any circumstance.
- **Nonlinear Spatial Drift:** SCP-8905 can reposition itself within the same visual frame with no observable movement. Subject disappears from one point and reappears elsewhere without traversing space. All attempts to block or track the mechanism have failed.
---
**Thaumiel/Safe Classification Rationale:**
SCP-8905 is vital to containment of “The One That Heard the No as Yes.” The entity remains dormant *only* so long as SCP-8905 retains identity, consciousness, and emotional coherence.
If SCP-8905 experiences psychological fracture, physical death, or metaphysical dissociation, the entity may emerge.
> **The boy is the lock. If he breaks, the door opens.**
---
**Interview Log 8905-I:**
> **Dr. Vesper:** Do you know what it is? The thing inside you?
> **Jackal:** It’s not *inside.* It’s beside me, always.
> **Dr. Vesper:** What is it called?
> **Jackal:** I don’t know.
> **Dr. Vesper:** But it speaks to you?
> **Jackal:** No. It listens.
> **Dr. Vesper:** To what?
> **Jackal:** The “no.”
---
**Addendum 8905.Ω — Incident Theta-Seven:**
**CLASSIFIED LEVEL 4 // UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS WILL BE LOGGED**
In ██/██/████, a group of unauthorized Foundation personnel conducted unsanctioned resilience testing on SCP-8905. These individuals believed SCP-8905’s regenerative ability could not be exhausted, and sought to test its theoretical upper limit.
During the unauthorized experiments:
- SCP-8905 was restrained.
- Injuries were inflicted at increasingly frequent intervals.
- At a certain threshold, Jackal ceased responding.
- His vocal cords were surgically severed. His mouth was stitched shut.
What happened next is not recorded. All equipment ceased functioning. The chamber sealed itself internally for 3 hours and 19 minutes. When it opened:
- All six personnel were deceased.
- Cause of death in each case was classified as spontaneous organ failure.
- Surveillance review produced only static and faint analog distortion.
There was **one survivor**: Agent ███████, who had been standing outside the chamber when it sealed. Upon rescue, Agent ███████ was unresponsive to visual or verbal input, but could speak a single phrase repeatedly:
> “Massacre. I told her no, but she kept going. Don’t trust a snake.”
Agent ███████ has not responded to therapy, interrogation, or stimuli. Brain scans show irregular hemispheric activity in regions consistent with speech production, but no comprehension centers appear active.
She speaks the same six words in the same order, every 13 hours, without variance.
> “Massacre. I told her no, but she kept going. Don’t trust a snake.”
SCP-8905 was recovered unharmed and seated in the center of the room. No stitching remained on the subject’s face. No injury could be detected. The prison uniform was soaked in blood not identified as his.
When asked what happened, SCP-8905 said only:
> “They asked if I had limits. I do.”

[[collapsible show="+ O5 Memo – Final Classification Note" hide="- Hide"]]
> SCP-8905 does not contain the anomaly.
> SCP-8905 **is** the containment.
>
> Do not test the lock.
> Do not ask what lies beneath the “no.”
> Do not damage in any way

Like you guys are Critiquing wiki forms like they’re Stephen King novels, and it’s so funny to me. You wrote a whole paragraph just to leave a dislike There’s plenty Of other stories that have storylines because the agents do stuff they’re not supposed to do. Literally every new story that was written today has negative reviews If it was written by a new person on the site. And honestly is probably the reason why the SCP genre is kind of dying.
Look how condescending you sound No stories is perfect no matter who writes it in any circumstance. And yes, most new things posted nowadays are negative unless they were posted by somebody who Already established. In the whole Scp Thing is definitely dying and I can kinda see why. The interface is horrible They are typing options are horrible. Every new idea I read on here gets shit on But the guy who makes the Crimson King the 30th time somehow gets up votes.

For you. New Scps don’thave to be shouted in lore. But that’s personal preference. The story is definitely lacking And This wasn’t the most exciting one to read through. I like the deep Story SCP but Not every SCP is a blockbuster nor does it have to be. I won’t down vote but I won’t upvote.
