Noting that new site member
Blank A (account age 2 days, site membership 1 day) recently posted the following forum thread, which has multiple indicators of AI-generation: https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-17097979/critique-request-for-first-scp
Hey everyone!
This is my first SCP concept, and I’d really appreciate any critique or feedback before I move further into drafting or posting, even though I've already created a draft, I would love some feedback!
Basic Concept:
SCP-4931 (referred to as "Blank A") is a humanoid anomaly discovered by the Foundation during an unrelated operation. Surprisingly, instead of resisting containment, he voluntarily complied, stating that he was simply “feeling cooperative that day.”
He claims to work for a mysterious interdimensional organization called the Multiversal Employee Council (MEC) and carries two anomalous items:
A white cube ("SCP-4931-JA") which requires periodic "maintenance"
A black glove ("SCP-4931-JB") that allows him to manipulate matter from afar and is permanently affixed to his hand.
Both items resist analysis or removal. The subject has also demonstrated the ability to phase through restraints, disassemble machines with a gesture, and recontain dangerous entities with ease.
During a major breach, SCP-4931 exited containment on his own — but instead of fleeing, he recontained 17 escaped SCPs and returned to his cell voluntarily. When guards tried to apprehend him, their restraints simply passed through his body.
Lore Note:
Blank A originates from a worldbuilding project of mine, part of a larger multiverse narrative I'm developing, the exact details I can't explain in this post as the lore is far to long to post in one page😅. I thought it would be cool to introduce him into the SCP universe and explore how the Foundation might react to someone like him from their limited, human perspective.
Tone & Style:
The SCP is written from the Foundation’s point of view, where they don’t fully understand Blank A or his technology.
He’s calm, helpful, and somewhat playful — giving cryptic answers and teasing researchers with phrases like “Can’t tell you that” or “You’ll find out soon enough.”
He’s not malevolent, just mysterious — and very powerful.
Key Themes:
Multiversal politics (MEC vs. MTO, though not mentioned directly in the SCP)
Contained anomaly that chooses to stay
Power under restraint
Subtle meta-narrative about simulation and cosmic awareness
What I’d Love Feedback On:
Does the concept feel fresh and engaging, or does it fall into “overpowered OC” territory?
Is the character’s tone/personality compelling?
Would this work better as a standard SCP article, or possibly a tale?
Any ideas on how to better integrate the SCP format with this kind of cosmic/multiversal character?
Thanks a ton in advance! I’m super excited to contribute to the SCP community — just want to be sure I do it right. Feel free to ask me anything about the backstory, I’m happy to share more details!

**Item #:** SCP-4931
**Object Class:** Pending Review
//(See Object Class Discussion -- Addendum 4931.2)//
**Special Containment Procedures:**
SCP-4931 is housed in a standard humanoid containment suite at Site-17. As of current records, SCP-4193 has shown no hostile intent nor made any attempt to escape permanent containment. Subject appears cooperative and voluntarily returns to its cell after unsanctioned departures.
Security personnel are not authorised to detain SCP-4931 should it exit its containment. Subject will typically reappear without notice within 24 hours. Physical restraint protocols are suspended indefinitely following Incident 4931.3.
Any requests made by SCP-4931 regarding the upkeep of its equipment may be granted under strict supervision and Site Director approval.
**Description:**
SCP-XXXX appears to be a human male, approximately 30 years of age, of average height and build. The subject refers to itself as "Blank A" and possesses unknown affiliations, claiming to work for an organization known as the Multiversal Employee Council (MEC).
The subject wears smart-casual attire and carries with it two anomalous items:
* SCP-4931-JA – An unidentified white cube measuring approximately 10cm x 10cm x 10cm, encased in a compact rectangular holster fixed to SCP-4931’s right side. SCP-4931 has stated the item requires “periodic maintenance.” The Foundation currently allows such actions under tightly controlled observation. Attempts to remove or study SCP-4931-JA have been met with failure or immediate objection from the subject.
* SCP-4931-JB – A smooth black glove made of an unknown, seemingly indestructible material. It is permanently affixed to SCP-4931’s right hand. Further testing proved that the SCP-4931-JB has resisted extreme heat, pressure, molecular analysis, and multiple spatial distortion events without damage. SCP-4931 has demonstrated the ability to manipulate objects from a distance using this glove. Further experimentation has been suspended, as SCP-4931 displays visible irritation when tests are attempted on it.
* A sidearm, combat knife, and gas mask, all standard-issue in appearance, yet exhibit properties beyond standard technology, with production labels reading //"property of the MEC"//
* A right-ear earpiece, presumed to be connected to off-site entities.
SCP-XXXX has been recorded lifting objects remotely, halting high-speed projectiles in midair, and disassembling/reassembling devices without physical contact. The mechanism behind these abilities remains unknown.
**Behavioural Notes:**
SCP-4931 is articulate, polite, and maintains a generally cooperative disposition with Foundation personnel. However, it frequently avoids answering direct questions regarding its origin, purpose, or anomalous traits.
When questioned about metaphysical topics or its affiliations, SCP-4931 offers cryptic or evasive responses. While it occasionally references terms such as “the Simulation,” “Stage Authority,” or “Asset Regulation,” these remain unverified and are considered disinformation or metaphorical.

**Addendum 4931.1 -- Cross-test interaction with SCP-343:**
SCP-XXXX was granted supervised interaction with SCP-343 following approval from Site Command. The two engaged in a 40-minute conversation in a private room with audiovisual surveillance.
[Excerpt from Interview Transcript – SCP-343 & SCP-4931]
> SCP-343: “You’re not from here, are you?”
> SCP-4931: “I’m just visiting.”
> SCP-343: “They’ll figure it out… eventually.”
> SCP-4931: (smiles) “They always do. Eventually.”
Following this exchange, researchers questioned SCP-XXXX directly:
[Excerpt – Researcher Dr. █████ Interview with SCP-XXXX]
> Researcher: "During your conversation with SCP-343, you talked about the universe being fake—"
> SCP-4931: "Can’t tell you that..."
> Researcher: "But tell me… is that information true?"
> SCP-4931: "Wait until you’ll find out."
Due to SCP-4931’s consistent evasiveness, no confirmation regarding these claims has been established.
------
**Addendum 4931.2 --Object Class Review:**
The Foundation continues to debate the proper classification of SCP-4931. Proposals have included:
* Safe – due to SCP-4931's non-hostile nature.
* Euclid – due to its unpredictable excursions.
* Keter – due to the potential threat posed by its abilities.
* Thaumiel – due to its assistance during containment breaches (see Incident 4931.3).
Final classification is deferred pending further investigation.
------
**Incident 4931.3 – [REDACTED] Containment Breach:**
On ██/██/20██, multiple Keter-class SCPs breached containment following a systemic failure at Site-17. During the event, SCP-4931 exited its containment voluntarily and successfully neutralized or recontained 17 escaped entities using unknown methods.
Upon return to the site, security personnel attempted to detain SCP-4931. The subject allowed the cuffs to pass through its wrists and returned calmly to its containment room, closing the door behind itself.
Following this incident, several personnel submitted proposals to reclassify SCP-4931 as a Thaumiel-class asset. No formal decision has been made.
