SCP-XXXX: “Bestest Boy”
Object Class: Euclid (Formerly Safe)
SCP-XXXX is an elderly Bernese Mountain Dog that appears biologically normal, but is anomalously immortal and emotionally unresponsive. Unlike typical members of its breed, it shows no signs of attachment or affection, and will spend most of its time unmoving in the corner of its containment cell.
SCP-XXXX was discovered after being abandoned by a family years after the death of their young son. Memory synchronization experiments involving a test child revealed SCP-XXXX holds vivid emotional imprints of a drowning incident involving the boy, and possibly blames itself. One memory test left the child subject deeply disturbed, uttering fragmented statements about a butterfly and a failed rescue. During the interview, SCP-XXXX breached containment and attacked the interviewer in a rare display of protective behavior, prompting a permanent reclassification to Euclid. The Foundation is currently attempting to reconstruct the original traumatic event in hopes of helping SCP-XXXX form a new bond and regain typical canine behavior. Whether this is possible — or if the entity is trapped in endless mourning — remains unknown.
(Yes I am aware Bestest is not a word)

[Seeking Greenlight] A crudely Drawn smiley face on a whiteboard that duplicates and reappears in other places upon being erased, exposure can cause mental instability.
Elevator Pitch:
SCP-XXXX is a harmless seeming smiley face on a whiteboard that multiplies when erased and torments whomever erased it. Repeated exposure leads victims to madness, eventually turning them into grinning comatose husks.
Central Narrative:
SCP-XXXX, nicknamed “Billy”, is a crude smiley face drawn on a whiteboard that multiplies and reappears when erased. Discovered in a middle school following a tragic, fatal stabbing tied to a love triangle, the image is linked to escalating physiological distress and violent actions in those who encounter it. Victims who recreate the image experience a grotesque transformation and fall into a permanent near-vegetative state. Attempts to euthanize them often drive staff into even worse psychosis. Though immobile and predictable, SCP-XXXX’s effects reveal a deeply insidious cognitohazard, blurring the lines between emotional trauma, obsession, and a parasitic memetic presence.

Thanks for the opinion, it’s good to know it has potential. I’ll check to see if there is anything like it out there, and if necessary I’ll change mine. Oh wait I also found another that is pretty similar; SCP-1672, which is a paper drawing of a person with a box on their head and said box has a smiley face, this one apparently triggers obsessions with boxes. However if this clarification is helpful The Face That Smiles Back does not teleport when unseen but rather causes two more of it to appear in places where it will be seen by it’s target (It’s target is whomever erased it) upon being erased. Hello Zyn,
I understand that it’s a Tuesday and that you rarely give greenlights, but I’ve found myself unusually confident in this idea and felt compelled to reach out to someone known for their high standards-one of the “pickiest critters” on the site, as they say.
I noticed you previously replied to my thread, and I really appreciate the advice on replying etiquette. I’ve made sure to fix that issue to the best of my ability, and I hope it didn’t disrupt your schedule too much.
While I realize this might not align with your usual interests based on your likes, I also think the premise might catch your attention-the anomaly is a smiley face drawn on a whiteboard that must never be erased, with dangerous cognitohazardous effects tied to repeated erasure. A bit abstract and unsettling (And I’m aware that’s not really something you’re interested in but maybe this could be a lucky exception).
Here’s the link to my thread: https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-17091448/seeking-2-greenlights-scp-xxxx:the-face-that-smiles-back
And here’s the sandbox draft: http://scp-sandbox-3.wikidot.com/the-face-that-smiles-back
Even if it doesn’t earn a greenlight from you, I’d still be honored to get your feedback. Thank you for your time!
Best,

My bad, sorry to waste your time, I have a different one I might ask you about later down the road, sorry if this one made you uncomfortable in anyway.
