Noting that new site member
Crimsonnnnnn (account age 1 day, site membership 10 hours) recently coldposted the following page, which has multiple indicators of AI-generation: https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-8188
**Item #:** SCP-8188
**Object Class:** Euclid
**Special Containment Procedures:**
SCP-8188 must be kept in a standard reinforced humanoid containment cell at Site-██. The room must be surveilled through closed-circuit monitoring, with the addition of motion and thermal detection sensors for early warning of anomalous behavior. Bi-daily check-ins should be conducted.
Personnel assigned to SCP-8188 must operate in pairs during direct interaction and must have prior clearance for cognitohazard exposure. All personnel must be trained in basic counter-necrotic response protocols.
SCP-8188-A (the cane) is to be stored in a secure containment locker in a separate wing of Site-██. It must be kept at least 20 meters away from SCP-8188 at all times unless approved for testing. Handling of SCP-8188-A requires authorization from one (1) Level 4 personnel and must be supervised by at least two (2) armed guards.
In the event of unauthorized animation of SCP-8188-1 instances, containment staff are to engage standard non-lethal suppression measures. Reanimated entities are generally non-aggressive unless commanded and can be neutralized via blunt trauma or dismemberment.
------
**Description:**
SCP-8188 is a sentient, humanoid entity exhibiting signs of high intelligence and potential for violence if provoked. The entity communicates solely in Latin. Vocal analysis suggests a male identity, and its height is approximately 1.8 meters. SCP-8188 has never been observed without its full-body attire, consisting of a dark purple cloak that conceals its entire form.
Its face is obscured by what appears to be a human skull worn as a mask, and it wears black gloves that conceal its hands. No confirmed biological traits have been observed beneath the cloak. Attempts to scan SCP-8188 via X-ray, thermal imaging, or similar non-invasive methods have resulted in temporary equipment failure or corrupted data.
SCP-8188 consistently carries a wooden cane (designated SCP-8188-A), approximately 1 meter in length, topped with a small skull. The cane appears to serve both as a walking aid and a conduit for its anomalous abilities.
Its primary anomalous effect is the reanimation of recently deceased individuals, specifically those killed directly by SCP-8188 or its subordinates (classified SCP-8188-1). Reanimated subjects appear physiologically identical to their pre-mortem state but lack cognitive function or independent will. These entities remain dormant until given verbal or gestural commands by SCP-8188, at which point they perform actions with mechanical obedience and no regard for injury or survival.
In the absence of SCP-8188-A, SCP-8188 enters a dormant state and shows no signs of aggression or anomalous activity. It has remained passive under containment provided the cane is kept at a safe distance.
------
**Acquisition Log:**
SCP-8188 was encountered in █████ following a series of unexplained disappearances and reports of individuals observed alive after confirmed deaths. A Foundation task force was deployed under the guise of a pandemic containment operation after locals described "an army of dead walking."
The entity actively resisted initial containment by utilizing SCP-8188-1 instances as defensive measures. These instances showed no independent aggression unless directed and were neutralized without long-term containment breach.
SCP-8188 was successfully subdued when its cane (SCP-8188-A) was forcibly separated from its possession using a concussive device. Upon losing contact with the cane, the entity became motionless and unresponsive, allowing for secure transport to Site-██. SCP-8188-A was recovered from the field and is currently housed in a secure containment vault.
------
**Addendum 8188-01:**
Further research into SCP-8188's regenerative control over the dead suggests a link between the cane (SCP-8188-A) and its reanimation process. Removal of the cane from SCP-8188's possession for periods exceeding 3 hours results in a dormant state wherein SCP-8188 becomes non-responsive and displays no cognitive activity. Whether this is due to a physical dependency or a ritualistic requirement remains under investigation.
Testing is ongoing. Ethical concerns have been raised regarding the use of D-Class personnel in controlled termination experiments for the creation of SCP-8188-1 entities.

**Addendum 8188-02 – Interview Log ████-B**
> **Interviewed:** Captain ████ █████, Commanding Officer of Mobile Task Force █████
> **Interviewer:** █████
>
> Foreword: Interview conducted three days following the initial containment of SCP-8188. Subject is undergoing standard debriefing after sustaining light injuries during the encounter.
>
> <Begin Log>
> **█████:** State your name and rank for the record.
> **Captain ████:** Captain ████ █████, Mobile Task Force designation █████.
>
> **█████:** You led the operation to capture SCP-8188. Walk me through what happened.
>
> **Captain ████:** We rolled in just before dawn. The town was quiet. Too quiet. Locals said people were walking around who should have been in the ground. We expected a biohazard case. Something viral, something like [https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-008 SCP-008]. What we got was a setup.
>
> **█████:** A setup?
>
> **Captain ████:** An ambush. Two of mine were gone in seconds. Dropped. And then, like clockwork, they stood back up. Same uniforms. Same gear. But they weren’t there anymore. Just empty faces. Limp arms.
>
> **█████:** They were reanimated?
>
> **Captain ████:** Yeah. He was there, watching it all. Cloak, skull mask, that damn cane in his hand. Didn’t lift a finger. Just looked at us while my people were turned into puppets.
>
> **█████:** Did SCP-8188 attack directly?
>
> **Captain ████:** No. He didn’t need to. He used the bodies like a shield. No tactics, just numbers. Every time we dropped one, it felt like we were giving him more soldiers. It wasn’t combat. It was a game to him.
>
> **█████:** How did you contain him?
>
> **Captain ████:** One of ours hit him with a concussion round. Lucky shot. Knocked the cane right out of his hand. Everything stopped. The bodies dropped. He just stood there, like someone hit the pause button.
>
> **█████:** Your assessment of SCP-8188?
>
> **Captain ████:** It’s dangerous, but only if it has the cane. Keep that away and it’s just a corpse in a cloak. But I’ll say this. Any SCP that turns your own people against you, that makes you hesitate to pull the trigger, that kind of thing sticks with you. I don’t trust it. And I don’t think we’ve seen everything it can do.
> <End Log>
Closing Statement: Captain ████ has been reassigned to administrative oversight pending recovery. His input has contributed to revised containment procedures emphasizing physical separation of SCP-8188 and SCP-8188-A.

Seems like my SCP isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. Bit of a shame, really. Still, i hope someone out there enjoys what i’ve made. Cheers. o7
