**Special Containment Procedures:** SCP-8721 is kept in a 8 x 8 x 8 inches box made from titanium, with walls that are 3 inches thick. This box has no opening whatsoever, and the only way to open it is with strong mechanical tools. This box is kept on a pedestal in the 7 x 7 x 7 foot room. This room is made of marble and has walls that are 2 feet thick.

**Description:** SCP-8721, known as the Endorphine Syringe, is a sharp syringe that can hold exactly 4 fluid ounces of liquid inside. To the eye of public majority, the syringe is completely empty, and when used, even when empty, it breaks apart and fades out of existence, reiterizing in a new location. However, if viewed by someone is actually addicted to opioid substances, the syringe appears filled to the top with a vial of vibrant blue liquid, referred to by the SCP foundation as "Endorphine." When someone who is addicted to opioids actually use the syringe to inject the substance into their body, the syringe doesn't actually disappear until the syringe has less than 0.5 fluid ounces of Endorphine left.

The effects of injection of SCP-8721 start almost instantly after injection. A hit of Dopamine unlike never before will unleash onto the user and will put them into a state of not being able to feel pain whatsoever for a duration that lasts from 20-30 minutes. After this period of being unable to feel pain, the user will pass out for a time from between 1-3 hours. When the user wakes up, they will have no knowledge of ever using SCP-8721. However, no knowledge of using SCP-8721 will sadly be the best of the many effects that are to come. After passing out from usage of SCP-8721, the user will undergo 4 stages, each lasting 7 to 9 days, of brain damage that will either inevitably lead to fatality, or get rid of their addiction entirely.

Stage I - Memory Loss:
During stage 1, the user will undergo memory loss that will begin slowly but will always end in the user forgetting extremely important information about themselves, such as their name or occupation.

Stage II - The Headaches:
After the completion of stage I, the user will start to have severe, excruciatingly painful headaches that cannot be diagnosed medically. Even at this point, no signs of brain damage actually appear in the user's brain structure or appearence, besides the brain starting to undergo a slight green hue.

Stage III - My Mind Is Against Me:
When this stage begins, the user of an SCP-8721 instance will start to have suicidal and morbid thoughts. They will grow increasingly depressed, and the headaches will grow worse. Then it will dawn on them that they used SCP-8721, and will eventually realized what happened and why these effects happen.

Stage IV - Withdrawal:
No drug addiction ever ends without the right side of your brain fighting back. Withdrawl symptoms of SCP-8721 are somehow the most painful part of this whole experience. In the fact, the withdrawal symptoms are so strong that around 50% of all cases of SCP-8721 usage end in Suicide from not being able to ever get that 20-30 minute sensation of dopamine ever again. However, the remaining 50% of cases reported that after usage of an SCP-8721 instance, that they   never felt the need to take drugs ever again, and their memory being fully restored after 1-3 days of  

In summary, SCP-8721 provides a trial for those addicted to strong drugs, making them take a near 1 month descent into madness, which may indeed take their life, but may give them hope for a brighter life after.

You also aren't allowed to hotlink images hosted elsewhere. All images used in articles must be hosted on the SCP Foundation Wiki.

Additionally…the image was AI-generated. I don't know if the magic eraser tool in question would be allowed; I'd need to know the specific software. It doesn't matter in this case, though, because the original source of the image was an AI tool.
