name=HI | caption=Image of SCP-8982, only members of the 05 council are allowed to handle SCP-8982 as seen from the image above | width=350px
**Item #:** SCP-8982
**Object Class:** Safe
**Special Containment Procedures:** SCP-8982 is located in a 20x20 cell that resembles the backyard of a small home. The containment area is to be equipped with the typical safety monitoring to manage SCP-8982's activity at all times. Daily cell checks are conducted to manage the stability and integrity of SCP-8982, with close observation of the condition of its environment and potential anomalies that may take place.
SCP-8982 is to be accessed only by Level 2 personnel and higher, and any contact is to be sanctioned by at least one member of the 05 council. All personnel entering the containment cell must do so wearing protective apparel and must maintain contact with security outside of the cell. In the event of any unexpected reaction or change in behavior of SCP-8982, a lockdown protocol will be initiated, and all personnel are to vacate the area to safe zones until further assessment can be made.
SCP-8982 is to be provided with enrichment materials every two weeks, which are to be extensively vetted for safety. Any deviation in behavior or in the properties of the anomaly is to be noted and reported immediately for analysis. Any testing with SCP-8982 is to adhere to normal protocol for safe handling of SCPs to neutralize any threats from its anomalous properties.
**Description:** SCP-8982 is a 20x20 patch of grass that contains an anomalous property known as █████ ████. Upon interaction with SCP-8982, through walking on or coming into contact with its surface, an individual will begin to regress physically in age at a rate of three years per minute. The regression will continue until the individual reaches a state of biological immaturity, ultimately causing the cessation of life as they are reduced to the state of a human egg cell.
The grass itself is unremarkable in every aspect except for its anomalous effect, other than that it is a deep green color and appears healthy. On closer inspection, however, there is a faint pulsing in the blades, which the 05 council has theorized may have some connection to its age-altering properties. Environmental factors such as light and moisture levels have had little impact on SCP-8982's functioning.
Testing has revealed that the aging effect induced by SCP-8982 is irreversible. Once a subject is fully regressed, it becomes impossible to restore them to their original state. Preliminary experimentation indicates the anomaly to be on a non-linear time scale, with its operation becoming increasingly hard to grasp. Furthermore, anecdotal evidence from those personnel who have had exposure to it indicates that psychological effects can accompany biological regression, including disorientation and existential dread relating to loss of self-identity.
The SCP is currently stored in a 20x20 cell designed to resemble a suburban backyard to mitigate exposure risks, so that no personnel will unintentionally come in contact with SCP-8982. All contact is therefore restricted to Level 2 and above personnel, with complete adherence to safety protocols upon contact.
Scientists continue to investigate the underlying causation of the properties of SCP-8982, with potential links to temporal mechanics and biological entropy theory. The health of SCP-8982 needs to be strictly monitored and regular environmental testing is key to ascertaining its long-term effects, as any abnormality in behavior or properties will be noted and investigated immediately.
**Addendum:** Further interviews have been done with SCP-8982. Dr. P███ ████ Is due to interview SCP-8982 as of ██/██/████ so we are waiting for that to commence. But we will have Sani Beugenhoff interviewing SCP as of right now.

name=Jelly | caption=An image of SCP-8944 moments before breach causing 6.2 magnitude earthquake at Site-███ | width=250
**Item #:** SCP-8944
**Object Class:** Keter
**Special Containment Procedures:** SCP-8944 must be contained in a 4m x 4m x 4m titanium alloy cell at Site-███. The cell must be fitted with a modern anti-gravity field generator and reinforced with an impenetrable containment matrix that prevents any form of dimensional rift or modification of reality. The room is restricted to Level 4 personnel and SCP-8944 must be authorized for use in experiments by at least two members of the O5 Council.
No staff member should ever try to remove objects or beings from the habitat of SCP-8944 for examination, since destabilizing its containment could potentially compromise the integrity of the Earth itself.
**Description:** SCP-8944 is a containment anomaly that physically takes the form of a regular wooden shelf approximately 1m in height, 0.5m in width, and 0.3m in depth. Despite being so small, SCP-8944 contains a full, scale model of the Earth, including atmosphere, landmasses, and ecosystems. The surface of this scale model Earth is fully functional and possesses ordinary temporal operations.
Observation has indicated that SCP-8944 enjoys a consistent, if accelerated, day-night cycle. Native Earth plant and animal life to date exists with no apparent disruption. Any attempt to deal with this microcosm, including sampling or observation through normal avenues, has resulted in immediate temporal or spatial distortions, including but not limited to time dilation and local gravitational waves.
SCP-8944 was discovered on [REDACTED] in an abandoned warehouse in [REDACTED]. Discovered by a Foundation recovery team, the entity was easily contained. The extraction process has raised concern over the potential effects of removing SCP-8944 from containment.
**Addendum 8944-A:** Testing has determined that SCP-8944 somehow interacts with the fabric of our reality. Turbulence in the microcosm tends to resonate back to the macro equivalent of Earth, producing localized effects like anomalous weather patterns or unexplained geological events. This eerie connection demands heightened safety measures during testing.
**Addendum 8944-B:** A simulated breach of SCP-8944 was done for testing response and recovery protocols. At the moment of breach, the containment device had automatic locking mechanisms filed under its protocol that released an immense burst of energy as a compensatory measure for stabilizing the contained reality of SCP-8944. It resulted in short-term loss of life support of the surrounding containment chambers and hence the significance of adherence to rigid protocols of containment.
**Addendum 8944-C:** We tried to learn more about SCP-8944 and carried out a series of interviews with the anomaly. The result showed that it possibly has some kind of perception of its surroundings.
div class="blockquote"
**Interview Log 8944-01:**
**Interviewer:** Dr. ███████
**Subject:** SCP-8944
**Dr. ███████:** Can you explain how you came to be?
**SCP-8944:** *Speaks in a deep, soothing voice.* "I emerged from a realm now forgotten, a realm where creation is reality. I am a weighted world, an echo of all that exists beyond what can be seen."
**Dr. ███████:** You referred to yourself as an echo. What do you see happening on Earth beyond your own world?
**SCP-8944:** "I sense it in whispers, along webs of life and time. When something intrudes in my domain, it sends ripples that ripple back into yours. My world is fragile, and the lightest action may cause gigantic destruction."
**Dr. ███████:** What kind of disturbances are you talking about?
**SCP-8944:** "Your curiosity is commendable, but it can be dangerous. The balance must be kept in one piece, or else everything comes apart. I watch your planet, but I am bound to it. When I am poked and prodded, Earth takes the worst of it in storms and earthquakes."
**Dr. ███████:** You're resonant with the planet itself, then?
**SCP-8944:** "Yes, we're connected. My small version mirrors the world. Each earthquake or hurricane is my way of speaking, of a warning threat. Don't you get it? The balance of nature is delicate; listen to the warning signs."
**Dr. ███████:** And what if you're ever compromised?
**SCP-8944:** "Breach would damage not just me; it would cause chaos to permeate among realities. Dimensions would intersect, and everything would be out of order. You must hear the edges of reality; saving is dependent on it."
**Dr. ███████:** I appreciate your feedback.
**SCP-8944:** "Just tread carefully what you're looking for, Dr. ███████, because knowledge does not come free. See what you're looking for."
**End of Interview Log.**
**Conclusion:** These interviews are meant to illustrate how important it is that SCP-8944 is kept under lock and key. The depth of its knowledge and intrusion into our reality means that caution needs to be increased and walls it constructs are not violated. Any future experiments will need to take these facts into consideration in their minds, balancing procedure and the understanding that the anomaly has imparted to us.

//The foundation is following new protocols to prevent SCP-8944 from becoming corrupt and wiping out generations of humanity.//
div class="blockquote"
**Interview Log 8944-02:**
**Interviewer:** Dr. ███████
**Subject:** SCP-8944
**Dr. ███████:** Appreciate the conversation once more. I wish to ask some follow-up questions about your existence and how deeply connected you are with our universe. Could you expound upon the manner of how you were created?
**SCP-8944:** *The voice is low and calming, vibrating in a way that makes it sound like the air itself is humming.* "I was from a place that is not easy to describe, a plane overlooked by so many. I am a symbol of that which is unseen and felt. You might refer to me as an echo, a reflection mirror of creation itself, created by the patterns of life that govern all living things.".
**Dr. ███████:** You've also stated before that you're an echo. What do you see of the world beyond your own shelf?
**SCP-8944:** "I perceive the world in terms of relationships—a web of life in which everything is connected. I sense every event, and when something happens within my own little world, it sends ripples through the fabric of your own life. It's not really a sense of observation but awareness. I don't merely observe; I sense the pulse of the sun, the chill of the wind, and the vibration of the Earth."
**Dr. ███████:** That is quite poetic. When you talk about emotions for your relationships, do you ever feel that you have one identity, as humans do?
**SCP-8944:** "I am singular and collective, a condensation of experience and thought of all that lives within me. All experience is filtered through my shape, defining my being. I am a keeper of balance, as well. I don't necessarily weigh individual experience, but harmony in general."
**Dr. ███████:** Balance seems to be something you're very consistent with. What happens when that balance is broken?
**SCP-8944:** "Oh, when balance is broken, there is ruin. Consider a symphony; when one string goes out of harmony, it can shatter the entire piece into dissonance. When incursions occur—out of curiosity or neglect—it's not just my world that is broken; it comes back to yours with potentially catastrophic consequences. Earth experiences storms, earthquakes, and other upheaval as a reaction to this imbalance."
**Dr. ███████:** That's a scary idea. How do you think these connections are interdependent? What makes them influence one another?
**SCP-8944:** "I am held to the fabric of existence by delicate strings. Each of these strings vibrates with the very force of existence, and when one is perturbed, it makes waves throughout realities. It is akin to plucking a string on a violin. More intense disturbances create more extreme outcomes, causing reality's fabric to convulse and change in unpredictable ways."
**Dr. ███████:** With this deep interdependence, what do you desire from humankind when they are confronted with you?
**SCP-8944:** "What I desire is plain but profound: the sanctity of being. I notice your thirst for knowledge, and that is commendable, but that has to be balanced with self-discipline. My realm is maintained through respect for limits. I desire stewardship, not exploitation. Walk lightly, for I have truths that should not be discovered thoughtlessly."
**Dr. ███████:** You referred to truths. What kind of knowledge would you believe should never be found out?
**SCP-8944:** "There are aspects of understanding in the nature of existence that, if misplaced or abused, would be catastrophic. Knowledge is a double-edged sword; any find could potentially unpick the threads of reality. The more you understand, the heavier the weight."
**Dr. ███████:** That is a lofty assertion. What would you recommend regarding how humans should be looking in your world?
**SCP-8944:** "Observation carries weight. I am, and each look, each tool employed to probe my being sends ripples outside of my perimeter. It is imperative to find the edge between wonder and invasion. Those seeking to find out must tread softly; that which is discovered is not free."
**Dr. ███████:** You've provided us with a great deal to think about. Finally, is there anything else you'd like to share with humanity?
**SCP-8944:** "Yes, only this: we are all connected in ways perhaps you do not even notice. Willful ignorance is one of the most dangerous paths. See the gravity of your actions; life is complex tales filled with beauty and consequence. The balance is subtle, and listening to the whispers of life can be your path."
**Dr. ███████:** Thank you for your statement, SCP-6823. This has been enlightening.
**SCP-8944:** "Just remember, Dr. ███████, life is a balance of fragility. Your knowledge determines the reality you exist in."
**End of Interview Log.**
**Conclusion:** All this long-winded talk serves to point to the significance of SCP-8944 and how it relates to our own existence. Its embracement of interdependence and coexistence requires caution and respect for interaction in the future. What is revealed here only confirms the need to respect cautious boundaries while we explore the boundaries of comprehension.
