**Item#:** SCP-8705
**Object Class:** Euclid
**Special Containment Procedures:**
Regularly provide SCP-8705 with pictures of the two orphan children it claims to be its offspring. This keeps SCP-8705 calm and in a docile state. It is expected that the two children grow and develop throughout the years, so keep pictures up-to-date, and inform SCP-8705 that “its children” are growing big and strong.
------
**Description:**
SCP-8705 is a 2.1-meter-tall humanoid entity with a cephalopod-like head composed of green tissue and multiple independently moving ocular structures. Tentacle-like appendages extend from the lower portion of its head, exhibiting prehensile capabilities. The torso is humanoid and permanently clad in a deteriorated brown garment with integrated metallic fasteners.
SCP-8705 possesses limited telepathic abilities and exhibits a persistent fixation on two juvenile humans it claims as its offspring, despite no biological connection. The entity remains docile when provided with current photographic representations of the children and verbal affirmations of their well-being. Failure to adhere to this protocol results in heightened distress, aggressive behavior, and the manifestation of telekinetic abilities
------
**Discovery:**
SCP-8705 was discovered on ██/██/20██ in the rural town of ████████, [REDACTED] County, following reports of a humanoid entity exhibiting anomalous biological features in proximity to a local orphanage. Foundation personnel were deployed to investigate and subsequently located SCP-8705 in the company of two juvenile humans, aged 6 and 8. The entity exhibited no resistance to containment.
Upon initial contact, SCP-8705 identified itself telepathically as “Allison” and repeatedly referred to the accompanying children as its “offspring.” Preliminary interviews with the children confirmed their status as residents of the orphanage, with no biological or psychological connection to SCP-8705. Medical evaluations revealed no anomalous effects or deviations in either child. Both were returned to the orphanage following administration of Class-A amnestics.
SCP-8705 displayed significant distress upon separation from the children, necessitating the implementation of containment procedures designed to mitigate its emotional response. These procedures include the regular provision of fabricated photographic evidence depicting the children, accompanied by verbal affirmations regarding their well-being and development.

**Incident Report 8705-B-██**
Date: ██/██/20██
Location: Site-██, Euclid Containment Wing
Personnel Involved:
• D-9824 (Deceased)
• Security Team Epsilon-7
Summary:
At 14:37 hours, SCP-8705 breached containment after D-9824 provided falsified photographs of its designated juveniles. The entity displayed agitation and telepathically vocalized distress, initiating a breach. SCP-8705 utilized telekinetic force to break free and incapacitate D-9824.
Containment Response:
Security Team Epsilon-7 attempted to neutralize SCP-8705, which resisted using telekinetic manipulation. The entity was subdued with Class-IV tranquilizers and recontained by 14:55 hours.
Casualties:
• D-9824: Fatality due to blunt force trauma.
• Epsilon-7: Two members with minor injuries.
Post-Incident Actions:
Verification protocols for stimuli provided to SCP-8705 were revised. Interactions will now require Level-3 oversight and mandatory psychological evaluations for personnel.
Status:
SCP-8705 was returned to a docile state following the reintroduction of accurate stimuli

They also have another coldpost, which also has indicators of AI-generation: https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-8116 particularly after revision 12, which has the edit note, "Changed up wording and revised a lot", and involves them using AI to rewrite their material. Of note, their sandbox for this page: https://scp-sandbox-3.wikidot.com/wip-picklock has the full draft entirely formed in the initial creation.

**Item #:** SCP-8116
**Object Class:** Safe
------
**Special Containment Procedures:**
SCP-8116 is contained in a specialized escape room-like chamber located at Site-██. The chamber is continuously monitored for structural weaknesses and potential escape routes. Security personnel are instructed to allow SCP-8116 to breach containment only under controlled circumstances. Upon breaching, SCP-8116 typically returns voluntarily and poses no immediate threat.
All notes delivered by SCP-8116 are to be collected and archived for analysis. Requests for additional containment enhancements or puzzles must be approved by the Site Director. SCP-8116 has been provided with mental stimulation tools, including complex crosswords and logic puzzles, to mitigate escape attempts.
------
**Description:** SCP-8116, designated “PickLock” by the staff, is an anomalous entity that has been contained, though it often breaches containment through various means. The means differ each time, and each time it breaches it proceeds to approach the nearest researcher and gives them a hand-written note. These notes typically contain a list of issues it had with the containment chamber. The list is often titled “Things you guys could do to make escaping harder.” After handing in the note, the anomaly will often return to its containment chamber, occasionally it makes a trip to the site break room and have coffee while conversing with Foundation Staff.

||~ Breach instances ||~ Escape method ||~ Note ||
|| Instance 12|| Breaking the concrete wall || Concrete is uncomfortable and way too flimsy, maybe increase the thickness and add a rug or some sort of bed. ||
|| Instance 14 || Tampering with the door || Upgrade the door, I made a hole and messed with the door’s locking mechanism. ||
|| Instance 27|| Unscrewed the vent cover and crawled through the ventilation system until exiting in the break room|| I was tired and wanted some coffee, change the way your vent covers are attached|| [[footnote]] Breach instance notes provided by Prof. Cskylander [[/footnote]]
SCP-8116 is roughly humanoid in shape, though it has no features other than its shadow-like form. The anomaly stands roughly 197 centimeters in height, and weighs roughly 88 kilograms. When asked about its origins it replied with the following statement:
> “I vaguely remember something from the perspective of a man who worked at a place called Martin’s Escape Rooms and Trampoline Park, but after that I have no memory”
Two weeks ago, a team of researchers consisting of Myself, Dr. G.V., and Prof. N.S. investigated and discovered that the building had been demolished 30 years prior to the discovery of the anomaly. A larger team was sent to survey for any anomalous entities or radiation, but nothing was found. However, a scan of the location found a sealed vault in a tunnel accessible through a trapdoor in the area that would have been the owner’s office on the first floor. Two field researchers, both highly experienced in anomaly surveillance, went in the vault with the intention to set up surveying equipment, radio contact with both of them was lost.
After receiving this information one week ago, we sent a team of 4 MTF field agents and 6 D-Class Personnel to find the researchers, still alive preferably. The D-Class were armed with a standard 9mm pistol, a flashlight, a combat knife, a video camera, and basic ballistic armor. 4 days ago, only one member of the team, D-Class 4537, returned. When questioned about the other nine, his face went pale, and stated the following:
> “me and the others, we found something, something horrifying, it ate Mick first, then the others. Clara, Stephen, Terry, they’re all gone. That thing should never see the light of day. I turned in the camera you gave me, do what you will.”
The following is a transcript of the footage found on the camera.
------
**Exploration Log 8116-A:**
Date: ██/██/20██
Team: 4 members of MTF-η; Iota (Leader), Mυ, Xi, and Rho, with 6 D-Class; D-2984, D-4537, D-6210, D-8923, D-5012, and D-3791
**[BEGIN LOG]**
00:00: The team descends through the trapdoor and enters the vault, revealing a vast, seemingly infinite room constructed from concrete-like material. Empty bookshelves line the walls, and four large bookshelves stand in the center, arranged in a cross formation.
01:25: Iota checks if each D-Class has their camera running. Xi orders D-2984 to investigate the four bookshelves in the middle.
02:15: The team finds two bodies in front of the four bookshelves, with identification badges that are intact, confirming the deaths of the field researchers.
02:20: Rho picks up ID badges and orders D-4537 to hold on to them.
02:34: D-2984 attempts to move the south-facing bookshelf to investigate the space behind it. A dark red, tendril-like appendage emerges, pulling D-2984, D-6210, and D-5012 into the gap.
02:45: Xi and Mu fire on the appendage. A screech is heard, followed by the appendage knocking Mu down and pulling them in.
03:10: The appendage forces the gap wider, revealing SCP-8116-B. The entity’s lower body resembles that of a large octopus, while its upper body is humanoid with six spider-like limbs (three on each side). A vertical slit, resembling a mouth, extends from its neck to its waist. SCP-8116-B consumes the captured personnel.
03:25: Iota orders remaining personnel to open fire. SCP-8116-B screeches and attacks Rho after being shot at.
03:45: Rho’s muffled screams are heard as the entity consumes them.
04:15: Iota orders Xi and the remaining D-Class to topple the bookshelf and retreat, temporarily blocking SCP-8116-B. While retreating, they discover a human skeleton and retrieve the skull.
04:38: Iota is killed by SCP-8116-B after being hit against a wall multiple times.
04:52: SCP-8116-B pierces Xi’s chest with two of its upper limbs.
05:10: The entity chases after the two remaining D-Class as they retreat.
05:20: SCP-8116-B captures D-8923. Before being taken, D-8923 throws the skull to D-4537, instructing him to escape.
05:43: D-4537’s ankle is grabbed by SCP-8116-B. D-4537 fires at the joints of the entity’s upper arms, damaging it enough for it to release its hold.
06:05: D-4537 exits the vault and seals the door.
**[END LOG]**
------
The room and creature have been designated SCP-8116-A and SCP-8116-B respectively.
------
**Post-incident report**
The retrieved skull was analyzed and identified as belonging to the manager of Martin’s Escape Rooms and Trampoline Park, who was reported missing three days prior to the facility’s demolition.
Upon returning to Site-██, the skull was presented to SCP-8116. The entity examined the skull and made the following statement:
> “This feels familiar, like an echo of a life I once had, though no memory comes to mind. I feel like I have received some sort of closure, but I don’t know what for. Thank you for this, Doctor. I look forward to tomorrow’s puzzle.”
------
**Addendum 8116-B:**
During a containment breach involving multiple sentient anomalies, SCP-8116 successfully lured several escaped entities back to their containment chambers by exploiting their weaknesses and presenting tailored escape challenges.
In recognition of its assistance, SCP-8116 was provided with additional furniture and puzzles. Since then, it has played a pivotal role in enhancing Site-██’s containment security protocols.
A request for an on-site psychiatrist has been submitted to assist SCP-8116 in recovering its fragmented memories.
------
**Additional Notes:**
• SCP-8116 exhibits a high affinity for complex mental challenges and should be provided with new puzzles regularly.
• Continued observation and testing are required to determine the full extent of SCP-8116’s cognitive abilities and its potential origins.
------
Experiments involving SCP-8116 must be authorized by Doctor Moonlighter or his associates. Any additional notes by other staff may be provided by said staff.

Prior to AI-revision:
Containment Procedures: SCP-8116 is housed in a reinforced containment chamber designed to mimic an advanced escape room, with modifications implemented based on the anomaly’s feedback. The chamber is monitored via closed-circuit cameras, and security measures are adjusted weekly.
Description and story: SCP-8116, designated “PickLock” by the staff, is an anomalous entity that has been contained, though it often breaches containment through various means. The means differ each time, and each time it breaches it proceeds to approach the nearest researcher and gives them a hand-written note. These notes typically contain a list of issues it had with the containment chamber. The list is often titled “Things you guys could do to make escaping harder.” After handing in the note, the anomaly will often return to its containment chamber, occasionally it makes a trip to the site break room and make a cup of coffee, though it has no mouth, it still somehow consumes the coffee.
